The cost to fix the lever should have been mitigated by the diagnostic fee, but that's a different story. A week later, 8/31, my husband goes to pop the hood on his car and the lever came off. My husband literally just paid $220 for the lever to be fixed so he calls the mechanic to explain the issue. The mechanic literally says "So what do you want me to do?" That is extremely unprofessional as my husband was just saying that he shouldn't have to repay to fix something that broke less than a week later. The mechanic did say to bring the car in, however, my husband was just trying to confirm that he wouldn't be charged again as we don't live close to the shop. The mechanic said "well I don't work for free" Get some respect when you speak to customers. No one was asking for free service - just to right the wrong. I 1000% do not recommend this mechanic.

Checked their hours, found out they opened at seven on Saturday, so I got there a bit before. At seven on the dot, somebody showed up to open. I waited a few minutes to let the guy get set up, turn on the lights etc., before heading inside at about seven fifteen. I was greeted, and when I explained I needed a repair, the man at the counter let me know that the techs didn't arrive until eight. I kind of chuckled and said, "Well good for them!" So I settled into that waiting area. Between the TV, magazines and wi-fi I knew I could stay entertained, and honestly, without an appointment, I was just happy someone was willing to help. I was the only customer in the place, and didn't pay much attention when the counter guy left and went into the shop. There was the sound of activity, and I heard an air wrench, and didn't think much about it. Twenty minutes later, the guy who I found out was named Brian, who I figured for the boss, and who was dressed pretty nicely, came back to the counter and said, "Okay, you are all set ." "What do you mean?" "I took care of it." "Took care of it? You didn't have to do that! I was fine with waiting." "Nah, I wasn't going to make you wait for that." So the boss, who wasn't really dressed to be working in the shop to begin with, took it upon himself to repair my tire so I wouldn't have to wait, and in his mind, be inconvenienced. And it wasn't a big ticket God knows, just a repair. Well that speaks volumes to me about how Brian runs that business, and how he treats customers. It was my first time in there and that is how I was treated! So happy with the service and the ease of getting my tire repaired. And happy to have a tire and repair facility that I know will take care of me when I need something. Would give more stars if I could!

I ordered a remanufactured one from Autozone and their vendor was not able to provide them one after a 2 week wait. I found Northlake Auto Recyclers online and they had the head I needed in stock and already pulled. It was off a 2018 Dodge Journey. Cost for the head was $125. They come with a disclaimer that heads are for use as cores to be rebuilt only and are only guaranteed not to be cracked or warped. I took the head to a machine shop and the tech said it was in such good condition that he did not recommend rebuilding it and only did a quick milling of the sealing surfaces to be sure it was true and clean for the head gasket. Just started up the car and it runs great. I highly recommend this place. It is not a junkyard. It is more similar to a parts store but all the parts are used. You go in, tell the guys at the counter what you want, and they go in back and get it off a shelf for you. They have tons of parts for late model cars. The employee said they specialize in cars 7 years and newer.

I had been told by another mechanic that my alternator was shot and I'd need a new one. The crook wanted to charge me $3200, which I found ridiculous. I couldn't have paid that much anyway. So I brought the car home and it sat out all winter (five months). It was completely dead and wouldn't start. I finally had it towed to T&A to have them take a look at it. Tim called me the next day and said, "I can't find anything wrong with the car, except your battery was about drained" (this "brand new" battery had been installed by the precious crook at Midas, as replacement under warranty). The battery may have been an old dusty one that had been sitting on the shelf for a few years. Tim completely charged the battery, then would not let me pay him one cent. I'm an older lady and we are targets for auto repair scammers. I'm so grateful to know that I can trust Tim to be honest and fair.

I recently had a car purchase that did not turn out way Gary or I wished it to. Things happen and Gary and I discussed this before he left for vacation. They are in the process of buying it back but that has been a very uncomfortable feeling. They have my keys, they have the truck, they asked me to not cancel insurance. I do not have any receipts from them, they Have over $9,000 deposit. They did call my insurance at my request and my insurance to let them know they are in the process of paying it off, and once they have title I will be refunded all my investment. I just wish they gave that in writing. I do trust them but again, I feel it is not professional to not supply me with some kind of paperwork but I know they took have to protect themselves. They said to go cancel my plates but I can not even do that without proof from them I no longer own vehicle. They needed to tell me wait to do that too. All other dealers if a car has been turned in cause of excess mechanical issues or change of mind have always provided paperwork stating they took posession of car . I have never heard of me having to keep the insurance until they have title when they have the car not me. I know if Gary were in town this would be handled in a bit more respectful calm caring way with a better paper trail for all , not just for them. It is clear they do not want me back as a customer, is how I being made to feel at this time. I still believe they have good cars and they do their best to check them out. I know they put much into them to have them safe on the road. Cars can have issues. and they were great to respect that fact with this one after many attempts to make it right. I wish I could just give a neutral status and truly that is what it is until I have all my money back. This is a simple paperwork hell and I think it is new for all of us... so just be sure you have any car you purchase from any where checked out. Gary's team is great but these cars these days are computers, so even the greatest of techs can not predict what unfolded with this one. The crazy glitches with this one may or may not have been found out. They do rock for the fact they are purchasing it back and making me whole again. I just can not give the 5 stars I orginally did cause there has just been a bit of unease in this paperwork trail and waited return of my money. And again, they made a huge exception so I am sure it is just protocol to protect all. I have Much gratitude for them. Much more peace will be when I have the large investment back. Just sad I am made to feel they do not want me back. :( .. And it may just be till this mess is cleared up and maybe my expections or hopes are truly too high for the price range my budget is. Still give them a chance cause they do have integrity... just need to work on paperwork trail and communication a bit on these unique issues. But we are all learning thru it together, It is a lesson for us all. And they are doing well considering. I am just sad it did not work out cause it is a very beautiful truck. I had a small accident a few years ago and needed the back bumper replaced after being rear ended. It happened right in front of a body shop that my sister said was unbelievable, so I reluctantly left my car with the other body shop since I couldn't drive with the bumper hanging off. ENORMOUS MISTAKE. BELAIR is honest and their service is excellent. I was absolutely disgusted by what I had to go through with that other place, and pressured to say a few things were part of the accident knowing full well that they were not. BELAIR thoroughly explains everything, they are honest about repairs needed and their work is perfection. I will never take a car anywhere else and I continually tell everyone what a great shop they are, and that their work is amazing. Don't hesitate to choose them if you are in an accident. You will never go anywhere else after you use them. I don't know if I have ever stopped to write a review before, but BELAIR is THAT MUCH BETTER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE.
