I have been using this service mainly for airports & longer distance rides (NYC to NJ). They are reliable and cost effective. You should always prebook the car and you'll get the price over the phone. They would text me in advance as the car is approaching. Cash/credit card only. The drivers sometimes speak English but mainly Chinese. The drivers always arrive a little earlier than my expected time so the driver waits for me and not rush me. read more

Cut me off, in their minivan, only to roll at 5mph traipsing behind the car in front bringing the lane to a slow roll. Tried to stop short to hit into me as I was trying to get around him. As I tried to get around him, he then took up TWO LANES so neither myself or the person merging could get in front of him. Dangerous driving like he doesn't care at all, disregard for others on the road and rude. When my preferred car transportion services aren't available, I dial up Huang Hou. They aren't the cheapest or the most extensive of the bunch, but they've been punctual and reliable when I've needed them. Unlike the other popular car services, a lot of Huang Hou's cars are without the big decals and logo work. Their vehicle lineup will vary: I've sat in everything from a beat up sedan to a high end van. The drivers are usually Chinese, not too many of them speak English, which is expected. The prices vary from destination to destination but on pretty on par with most of the competitors. A cab from JFK to LIC was $28 and from Woodside to Williamsburg was $15 pre-tip. Not terrible. With fewer cars out in the field, it's best to call in early to determine pricing and pick up location. Speaking Chinese (mando or canto) to the operators is probably ideal but English should work just fine. In the case of quality car service, it never hurts to have more than one on your speed dial. read more

We used this service on our way to JFK from our hotel. Our hotel actually got the service for us so we avoided dealing with their dispatch. The driver and van arrived about 5 minutes early and was a very kind dude. I don't know how much English he knew since we only spoke to him in Chinese. The ride was very smooth, and the driver was very nice. The total was also cheaper than when we took a taxi from JFK to the hotel. My mom asked for the company's business card so that she could use it again. I'd use it again too, I guess. They were A-OK! read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews. We spoke to the phone operators in English. They had a Chinese accent but were very courteous and we had no trouble communicating with them. They picked us up from the airport and also returned us to the airport on our way home. Their app is convenient and lets you know how far away the driver is. Car was clean and well maintained. They figure out what size car you need based on number of passengers and number of luggage. Driver didn't speak much English but also was very nice. A+ service at a reasonable price. We won't hesitate to use them again the next time we're staying in flushing or elsewhere in Queens. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. They were my favorite cab company for a little bit because they were so cheap. However I've had quite a few bad experiences with them as well. I'm speaking from a place where I'm had more than 40 experiences with them. First is that they take forever to come. Or so I think because when I wait for them to call me then get in the car the driver complains to me that they been waiting forever. So they're communication is lacking even internally. Some drivers are better than others but quite a few of them give me nausea. I also stopped calling them in the morning because they NEVER have cars in the morning. Another time they took so long for them to come it genuinely messed up my whole schedule. They took down the wrong address so I tried walking to a closer location to them and the girl on the phone had the nerve to yell and ask me why i walked. Then I told her "Excuse me I'm the customer, why are YOU yelling at me? Let me talk to your manager." She said sorry we have no more cars then hung up on me. I called them back from a different phone and right away hung up on me before I said anything. Their service is like a hit or miss if you call them you may or may not get a car. I guess that's what you get for cheap service. You get what you pay for. read more

New app is the bomb, it works without calling the dispatchers. It's much easier to deal with drivers and I can rate the drivers through the app. The closest car comes pick you up and it's quicker than before. read more

Honestly, I can't tell the difference between them and Golden Horse besides the missing horse decal. Their rates are almost identical to the cent. Their routes are the same. Everything is the bloody same. I think they spiced up their fleet with more new and shiny black lincoln town cars. So yeah... the general observation is black lincoln belongs to HH and SUV vans belong to GH. Both comfortable and good. read more

Incompetent. I scheduled a pick up to go to the airport, driver went to the WRONG BOROUGH, couldn't figure out where to go between himself and dispatcher. Imagine this is usually pretty basic, so don't know why their communication broke down. Driver kept calling and saying he was a few minutes away, and then finally saying he was on my street. Then 20 minutes radio silence. 20 minutes is a long time if you're trying to catch a flight. If it wasn't incompetence, then I was being lied to. Have used these guys before, used to be good. Get back to basics, learn to communicate or else Golden Horse is going to run away with your fares. read more

This company is rude and un-professional, the dispatcher didn't ask my name, my destination, the fare and hung upon me before I finished talking. I even didn't know how long should I wait here. It took me 15 mins wait on the street and the man asked me to cross the street to him, instead of coming over. Not a big deal. Then he asked my destination, I handed it to him, then he kicked me out of the car for no reason! It was outrageous! I'll never use this company ever again! read more

I've used Huang Hou Car Service, and they have always been professional. The office manager Gary is tops.

This is my go to cab service as their prices are the cheapest that ive came across. The dispatchers are not polite but there not rude to me either , except maybe for 1 or 2 occurrences they may have been rude but its nothing for me to complain about. They do usually take about 10-20 minutes depending on where your pick up location is , its kind of long but i learned to just call ahead of time and i am usually not in a rush. The drivers arent the most friendliest people, they dont say much and do not really greet you but i dont mind at all. They pick me up and drop me off, In the end they get the job done and thats all i really need. I usually take it from my boyfriends house in elmhurst to my house in flushing and its only 10 dollars !!! That amazing since a lot of places charge 15 +. My only complaint is there lack of cars. Its really hard to get a car in the morning during rush hour or when its bad weather ( rain , snow etc. ). But overall for the price i dont have anything to complain about. read more

I called them the night before to reserve a car for 6am to JFK, the next morning i called at 5am to confirm and they told me they would no come to pick me up due to the bad weather! !WTF! Thank goodness i was able to find an american car service company that came in a hour. Yes. That night snowed a little bit (1-2 inchess) but thats not a good excuse to cancel on us. They're very cheap compared to other car services such as Golden Horse Car Service and Yes Car Service but sometimes they don't cars around your area and you would have to wait like 30 minutes for one. They need to hire more drivers. Other than that, they are CHEAP! read more

The driver is extremely rude. He charged me 7 dollars for about 1 miles drive, because I requested a stop at my office. It is ok, I can live with this. But when I get out of my office, he wouldn't take me from Flushing to Brooklyn, only coz he 'thinks its gonna ruin his lunch plan'. Worst driver I've ever met! The service here is pretty bad. The people handling phone calls are rude. I recently reserved a car to go to work almost 24 hours in advance and the driver never showed up. The car service called me and insisted that the car was outside my apartment. I looked out the window (I live on the ground floor, so it's easy to see if there's anyone there) and told them there was no car. Then I said I was going to cancel because it had already been 30 minutes. The dispatcher then says to me "don't call again," as if it was my fault their driver didn't show up. I've used this cab company for a few years. Although they never had the best customer service. They were a bit cheaper than others. That's why I gave it one star. You get what you pay for right? Until I called a car to take my family to JFK, not only was the driver 20 min late and looking at his cell phone while driving, but he was drunk or high. We did not realize this at first. We thought he was lost because he was leaning forward and appeared to be looking closely at the road signs. However, when he almost crashed into a divider on the exit for the airport (with our 2 kids in the car!), my husband and I started to put the pieces together. We got out of the car and walked the rest of the way. When he got out, he was staggering and could not walk straight and had inaudible slurred speech. We immediately called the car company and they apologized. However, just 2 min later, the same driver calls me and to say your car is here. Clearly, he was picking up another customer, but dialed the wrong number. Needless to say, I will not be using this car company again. read more
