I had a great experience with Marburger Mobile Mechanic Service. I found him through Yelp and…read moredecided to give him a try--he did not disappoint. He arrived fully equipped with diagnostic tools, quickly identified the issue, and clearly explained what was going on with my car in a way that was easy to understand. He handled the repair efficiently, sourced the necessary parts, and ensured everything was fixed properly. I also appreciated that he took the time to answer additional questions about other concerns I had, helping me prioritize what needed immediate attention versus what could wait. He was honest about what was outside of his scope, which I found very professional. Devin was polite, kind, and extremely patient, even taking the time to show me exactly what was happening with my vehicle. His pricing was fair and aligned with the research I had done beforehand on labor and parts. If you need a reliable mobile mechanic and can't make it to a shop, I highly recommend his services.

DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM…read more He initially told me that one bottle of coolant and the part we supplied were all he needed. Once the process started, he called me down from my house and told me I would need to pay for another bottle of coolant just to test whether his work was complete. That was odd because we had already supplied him with a full bottle. We refused, but he still went to the store. While he was at the register, he called us and told us the total, as if we hadn't already declined to send him to the store. After he claimed he was finished, he knocked on my door and told me he had locked his keys in his car and had left his equipment in MY CAR. He then asked if he could wait inside my house while his wife drove 30 minutes to bring him another set of keys. At that point, my house was not in the right condition for someone to be waiting inside, so this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly a huge inconvenience. Once his wife finally arrived, he came back and said that he felt he wasn't paid enough for the job he had done. At that point, I was already extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with the entire situation. Then, to make matters worse, I started finding loose bolts in the corner of my car that were supposed to be on the water pump. When I asked him about the bolts, he said he had purchased new ones because he didn't have enough of the correct bolts to finish the job. However, after he went to the store--which we never agreed to send him to--he came back claiming that he had the correct amount of bolts all along. What really pissed me off was that he left my car jacked up IN HOUSTON, OF ALL PLACES, with the engine exposed. AND NOW, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, THE WATER PUMP IS STILL LEAKING COOLANT. The exact issue we paid to have repaired has not been resolved. With all the confusion throughout this entire process, I honestly don't understand how we could be accused of shorting him when the original agreement was completely different. It's WAY too hot in Texas for people to be spending their hard-earned money and still not have the problem resolved. I paid for a service, and I expect the work to be completed correctly and my vehicle to be left in the condition it was supposed to be in. It hasn't even been a full two months since he last worked on my car, and we are STILL dealing with a leaking water pump.

Not sure why this place only gets 3 stars on average. I just got part of the exhaust system of my…read morecar replaced plus an inspection, and it was a very reasonable price overall! I had previously taken my car to another shop where they had given me a way higher quote (like 3 to 4 times higher) and tried to get me to believe that my car needed more work (not realizing that my dad who was also there knows way more about cars than they do and can tell what is bullshit). When I brought my car to med center muffler they showed my husband the parts that need to be fixed and we knew they weren't trying to get us to spend any more money than necessary and we knew they weren't lying about what needs to get done. I appreciated the honesty. Plus the cost came out to only about 10 bucks more than they had originally told me, which I am more than ok with. I will update this review of course if what they fixed breaks down or if I have any issues, but so far I'd give these guys 5 stars for the very reasonable price and for not trying to get me to change parts that are perfectly fine, like many other car shops try to get you to do. Would recommend!
