I've been sitting here since 6:30-7 am trying to sit because my tire suddenly went flat. As I'm here waiting, no one is one asks of if I need help. Them someone finally does come to my car I asked specifically asked for my clear as day flat tire to be changed, he walks away ignoring me asking for a tire. All of a sudden I see someone who drives in the property way after me and received assistance on getting a tire change. I them get out of my car because I'm obviously being disrespected. I ask the so called manager on site did he just have someone else helped before me when I just asked for a tire. he proceeds to tell me I didn't come in the office when he was just by my car when I asked for what I needed nor did anyone else have to walk into the office for assistance. That's clear discrimination being I'm the only woman here and the other customers are men. I'm being notified I have to step into an office e for assistance but not the men that are here for service. I had the BEST experience this morning at Howie's Tire and Wheel. I was unsure whether I would need a new tire or if my tire could be plugged after driving over a nail - within 15 minutes, they had removed, plugged, and put my tire back on. INCREDIBLE service and all of the gentleman could not have been any nicer. They are superior to any BMW dealership I have previously dealt with for issues with my car. Had some new tires that I got on a good deal from a mechanic friend, but needed to have them mounted on my 2004 Tundra. Called around to a few local spots to compare prices, thinking that there wasn't much difference between the quality any place that can properly mount and balance tires. Found the cheapest price of the places closest to my place, and almost went there, but figured I'd check Yelp first. Found Howies and gave them a call. They quoted me $25 a tire to mount and balance, and while that wasn't the bottom barrel cheapest price I got, I figured I'd spend a couple extra bucks and go to a more reputable place. I also had an issue with a broken wheel lock that they got off for me without any additional charge. Elias and his team went above and beyond when my tire completely ripped out. I was driving on the highway and went out the nearest exit to check the condition of my tire. Come to find that the tire was already ripped out and Howie's was right around the corner. My boyfriend walked over there to ask for some assistance. Elias and his team crossed the street to come over to me. They not only replaced my tire, but also jump started my car when I found out that the battery had died too. Went in the other day to have my tire patched and they destroyed my rim while removing and reinstalling and the guy wasn't even going to say a word to me. At least the gave me the patch job for free after destroying a $500 rim. After so many years I need to find another tire company. read more

We have been using howies tire for over 20 years ever since Jeff and jr sold it has gone way down hill destroyed 3 of my tires by putting 110 psi only supposed to be 65 I came back and told me I'm a liar i must have added air would not resolve the issue and told me take my business else where.... not a problem!! I am a local business owner who put his trust in the crew at Howies Tires. His solo tech destroyed not 3 but all 4 wheels installing a set of tires. One can only guess how the inside of my wheels look. Ivan the owner knows darn well this was his techs fault but would not stand up to it. Telling me the marks were there. Vehicle is a 2014 Lexus IS which had its original factory 18" Bridgestones. Anyone familiar with these tires knows the massive thick sidewall would make it IMPOSSIBLE for any curb damage around the lip. When I asked to see my old tire to discuss he would not even entertain the thought. This use to be the spot, but now it's a disgrace to the auto industry. I understand things happen but consistent/matching marks. Not to mention a huge gouge on one spoke which is covered in scuffs from his tech who in a panic must have thought brushing/rubbing with an abrasive all over its damage would erase it?!?! I filed a complaint with the bbb and am considering other avenues. As a car enthusiast this is devastating, the joy and excitement of getting a set of Nitto Invos was totally washed away! read more
