Gas price here is usually the lowest around this part of El Paso. Watch out, though, Pump #4 is pre-pay only, and not an open pump. You cannot get a fill-up even with a credit card, and you have to limit your gas to an estimated amount. I had to switch to a different pump because of this. Convenient store is like any other gas station store. You can get some drinks and snacks. I wished Valero had a reward program to earn points for purchasing gas and merchandise. That would add more attractiveness to this joint for sure.

When I arrived in El Paso, I had to look for dry ice. Now by the time I was able to get out of my hotel room to hunt around town, there were only a handful of stores open. I thought to myself, "No problem, Walmart will have it." It turns out that was not the case. They used to have it, say, 10 years ago, but that is no longer the case here in El Paso. So then I went to Sam's Club, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, and a few other places through a google search without much luck. I even tried a find on google that took me 30 min outside of El Paso (pretty sure at that point I was in Juarez) to a place with an unlit road and an abandoned warehouse. There were cars outside parked with people in them but with the lights turned off. There was no dry ice there. Anyways, back to the review. Big Boy Concessions is probably the only place you'll find dry ice here in town. Luckily they have a lot of it. They also sell all the supplies people are looking for if they had an ice cream truck or trolley. They have party supplies as well including cotton candy that you can buy in bulk. The dry ice is kept in a big maroon bin that are generally hacked into smaller pieces but occasionally you will have the opportunity yourself to use the hammer and chisel to get additional pieces. From what I can tell, they constantly get additional shipments of dry ice so you can be sure that it'll be in stock for your dry ice needs! They are open through the weekend but on most days they close at 5pm. Parking is challenging but you won't be there that long. Nothing to write home about the inside as it is like a small makeshift distribution center for food supplies. Enjoyed greeting these folks every morning. Until next time!

This is something that we did need here very much. I was making my limoncello and needed some ingredients but did not want to drive 15 minutes to my regular store. I looked up liquor stores near me and found that this location was selling alcohol as a liquor store- I could not wait to check it out. It took me five minutes to get here and I was not disappointed- they had exactly what I needed in stock. I looked around and they had a little of everything, even chilled wines and champagnes- so I got some of that too. Great business idea!

I liked "Felina" just as much. "El Paso City"? ... not so much. But here you are, dry and dusty and parched after a day long road trip across the Lone Star State, and you're looking for something cool to drink while filling up your four-wheeler with a few clicks of go-go juice. We ducked in here on our way back from Carlsbad, just a speedy jaunt through the corner of Texas from Guadelupe Mountain to the Arizona border. The gas was cheap (well, cheaper than California anyway,) and the little mini mart had the usual selection of snacks, drinks, and quick food for slow arteries... you know what I'm talking about. Restrooms weren't bad, either. Always a plus. The usual truck-stop folk were milling around: small families on road trips, the biker couple revving their short pipes in the parking lot, and someone's abuelita standing near the entrance with seemingly no particular place to go. Half expected to see someone with a cowboy hat, a handlebar mustache, a ten gallon hat and an open carry sidearm... but not this trip. Instead, we topped off the Jeep, put the hammer on the floor and we're westbound and down on the ten. 3s and 8s and all them good numbers in ya... we're back quiet but we'll catch you on the flip, El Paso.

In my middle school days I frequented a Family Dollar and a privately owned dollar store, always leaving satisfied with useless junk. Junk, that would one day would be discarded without a second thought like a pillow radio and a geometric Rubik's Cube (that I was only able to solve once in the span of six years). But Dollar General...ohhohhoh! They actually have stuff I need. I can't tell you how many times this Dollar General has came through for me. Notecards, dry erase boards, butter, cheese, milk, socks, slippers, iPhone cases, trash bags, aluminum foil, and dog toys. All things that have been found at this Dollar General for a decent price. All the while saving me a trip to the dreaded Wal-mart.
