We ordered the new garlic cheese sticks tonight. They are so delicious with ranch. The Pizza is always perfection.Service is top notch.

First time in 30 years I've been in Great Falls. After asking the gentleman at the hotel who he recommends for great local pizza. He swore it was the best place in town. We looked online says guaranteed hot as all their delivery trucks have built-in ovens. It showed up in a 30+ year-old vehicle with a younger gentleman that look like he just finished smoking a fatty. Our medium pizza had virtually no sauce. Look like somebody don't two or three cans of sliced mushrooms on it and virtually no cheese. One medium pizza two cans of pop and two bottles of water ended up costing us $75 Canadian. It has been approximately eight weeks now We have been waiting for an email back as I had expressed such disappointment in the cost, the value and the service that we received. I wasn't looking for compensation. I was just telling them how disappointed I was. I have not received any response from the email I had sent. Just wanted to let all Canadians know to stay away far far away read more

If you like a homemade thin crust pizza this is a place for you. They have pizza and a limited menu of other items. Basically it's a pizza joint. We were there at peak time so the servers were very busy. We were well attended to and the server was personable. The pizza had great flavor and the homemade Ranch for it was good. Make sure you like thin crust and if so I recommend this place. read more

Delicious as always, visiting from out of town and I always have to get some Howard's pizza before I head home.

So this will be my second negative review of the most overrated pizza business in Great Falls. Last time I reviewed Howard's was almost a decade ago and it's nice to see that they are still serving overpriced slop. I never eat at Howard's by choice. I usually end up there because of group events or after-work drinks. In this particular case tonight, my wife wanted Howard's. We ordered the deep dish taco pizza....not an iceberg lettuce & dorito pizza. There was maybe a 1/4 lb of beef on the whole damn pizza (large mind you). Too little compared to the 2 lbs of iceberg lettuce, 4 lbs of shitty cheese (like, microwave nachos too long cheese), a sprinkling of greenish-pink unripened tomatoes and whole bag of smashed up MSG infused doritos. After a couple bites and chewing on large amounts of overcooked rubbery cheese (that no amount of cheap taco sauce packets can distract from), that was enough for me. My 12 year old son could make a better pizza from the Great Falls Public School system's ingredients. This Howard's pizza was DEFINITELY worth the $33 after a tip. We ended up eating left over spaghetti. I am a simple guy who likes good food. If you sell me subpar food at high quality prices, you will hit a nerve. This pizza made me so disappointed and angry, I would rather see another casino or freaking mattress store open at these locations instead of Howards. read more

I ordered three large pizzas from Howards two pepperoni and sausage one cheese when the pizzas were delivered. They were stuck to the bottom of the box because they do not line the boxes. I specifically told the boy who answered the phone to make sure they lined the box, but they did not. I called them back to let them know of the mistake. They were somewhat indignant, but we did finally get the pizzas delivered an hour and a half later. Howard used to be my favorite pizza joint since it opened back in the 70s, if you want cardboard tasting pizza this is the place to go. I'm not sure the other Howards locations are doing this. But it really couldn't be that hard to line the boxes without telling them obviously they don't eat their own pizzas delivered. They must have new management or owners. read more

Delivery was super quick and pleasant service! Unfortunately the pizza was just okay, not a lot of flavor in the deluxe.

After further consideration, I have decided to up my rating to a 5 due to the fact that I've had cravings for Howard's for over a year now, but am unable to do anything about it because I live 1000 miles away. Oh. I really want a slice of that pizza. read more

Ordered large pizza half cheese/taco no meat, medium mushroom and shrimp pizza and a shrimp basket. Total was 60$! Shrimp was burnt, pizza was ok. Heavy on the cheese. read more

Howard's Pizza - a pizza in a box - Pizza Near Me - Great Falls, Montana

Different than most other GF pizza places. The pizza was good, but like I said, it's a different, more of a thin crust thing. I enjoyed it greatly. It seems to be very busy so get there early. I'd also recommend considering going for more than less when considering volume as we burned through the pizza very quickly (not super large, but just a recommendation, not a knock). The one negative I had was the salad. It's essentially the shredded lettuce with olive and tomato toppings thrown in. It will get the job done, but not what you'd expect as a salad. Overall, this is better than many of the other chains, so give it a try! read more

I got a thin crust cheese pizza with pepperoni and sausage. The crust and toppings are good. There's a TON of cheese on the pizza. Additionally it's rather greasy. Edit: I've grabbed a knife to help separate the cheese, otherwise it keeps sliding off the crust. read more

Oh Howard's... how you have impacted the lives of so many. My family moved to Great Falls in 1975. Our kids were young and like so many others growing up in Great Falls, exposed to a pizza market dominated by Howard's and their numerous locations. They loved it. My wife and I tried to expose them to other pizza options over the years, but the culinary imprinting was too strong. When they left home, one of the few positive results my wife and I realized was "no more, greasy, drip off your elbow, paper thin crust pizza" for us. Then, every time they would return home for school break or vacation, we had to have Howards. When friends would invite us out for pizza, it was always at Howard's. The Howard's ordeal finally ended when we moved to the lake. As we were recently house sitting for my daughter, we were discussing dinner options and Howard's came up. Haven't had one in 15 or 20 years. Nostalgia, curiosity, latent self-abuse issues, not sure why, but we ordered one. I'll give Howard's credit after all these years. It still tastes the same. Won't need a repeat for another 20 years. read more

The service was good. I thought the pizza made with canned mushrooms does not taste fresh. My husband has always loved Howard's but he said he probably won't go back after we ate there. He said it isn't as good as it used to be. read more

We just got to Great Falls and wanted to try some possibly good pizza. Wish I could make a review about the pizza..... but after almost 2 hours of waiting after I placed the order. I never got my pizza, so I called and cancel the order. Tried to be as patient as possible, but literally almost two hours is ridiculous. read more

I've ordered delivery from them a bunch of times now and all I can say they suck at telling you delivery times!! 1st time I ordered and was told 1 hour and it took 2 hours! Currently waiting for and order now and was told 45 to an hour and its Currently been 1 hr 30 plus minutes. They either need to hire/schedule workers to go faster or hire/schedule more drivers! It's shouldn't be taking this long especially when u call them back and they say "it's on its way it'll be their shortly" then it's been over 30 minutes. Whoever thinks 30 plus minutes is shortly should look into a fucking dictionary. Plus when the food sits in the truck warmer awhile it gets all soggy!! This is for delivery only. Never ordered pick up and don't think I ever will read more

Buddy of mine drive me two pizzas overnight to California! Haven't had if for 38 years! It tasted exactly how I remembered. Thank you!

My love of Howard's Pizza started in 1978 when stationed at the Air Base. Each time I visit Great Falls I have to have Howard's. Today the service was excellent. The server was attentive as nd friendly. The pizza was as good as I remember years ago. I highly recommend it. read more

I will never understand the hype about Howard's Pizza. We ordered a large supreme pizza, and it was easily the worst thing I've ever eaten. The texture was odd and off putting, dry, and not the slightest bit greasy which is crazy with the amount of cheese on top. Tiny chucks of of ground meat with zero sauce, in addition to the sausage and pepperoni way too much cheese over the top. Maybe it's just me, but I want to be able to see and identify what exactly is going in my mouth. There wasn't any flavor to it. The only reason I am giving this rating 2 stars and not one is because of the side of fried mushrooms we ordered with the pizza. Those were pretty good - slighty sweet with a container of decent tasting ranch. I don't think we will order from here again. Which is too bad, I prefer helping small business over chain stores. read more

One of the GFs staples! This one was right down the street when I lived here almost 20 years ago and the place was my main stay. It's still amazing and brings me back in time. Delicious thin crust pizza! read more

Absolutly love there pizza! There crust is crispy yet foldable, very traditional. My favorite is the there taco pizza, they do not add all those nasty extras everyone else's taco pizza's have. It is simply pizza crust, taco meat, cheese lettuce and DORITO'S (yes doritos!!!). There pepperoni is amazing too! I would only recommend delivery or take out though. The service in the restaurant is less than friendly and professional. The cooks are willing to argue about who is doing what for the night in front of customers and managment seems okay with the staff standing right outside the front door smoking and blowing there smoke in your face as you walk in. The place needs some serious updating. The carpets and tables look like they have been there for 30 years. All that aside Id order there pizza any day, you can always avoid the staff, mostly, by ordering take out or delivery. read more

I love pizza and eat it a lot. Howards seems to have a very unique take on pizza-for one thing, they cut it n squares. You can order any kind of crust but their thin crust meat pizza is soooo good. i miss it and it's a must on every trip back home. Service depends, as always, the night and the server but the pizza is always consistent. read more

Pretty good, love the crusts! Taco pizza isn't what you think, don't order if you enjoy taco pizza. Delivery is fast and always on time. Prices are steep but this pizza is better than most in town!!!!! read more

Don't expect to get your pizza quickly if you're ordering delivery. I know restaurants are short-staffed nowadays but it took an hour and forty minutes to get our pizzas on a Sunday night. We live less than two miles away. It's not even football season! If they had told us it would take that long when we ordered I wouldn't have even bothered. Oh, and the order was wrong. This location has been closed for almost 5 months for remodeling and waiting patiently for reopening

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place!!!! I always give at least 2 stars when the service is good. But this was most definitely not good pizza.... If I can even call it that. The toppings are bland, and UNDER sliced cheese resulting in a solid square or cheese and pepperoni hanging from my face and a piece of tomato covered cardboard in my hands. If you used shredded cheese with the toppings ON TOP, I may consider another try as the flavors ratios and blending may be different. But until then, I will continue to have my pizza shipped in from my Sweet Home Chicago. read more

This is one of our favorite spots to order pizza. So when we timed insulin and the pizza estimated time for pick up, I was shocked to find the store closed for remodeling and my pizza at another location. I would have ordered delivery had someone explained what was going on. I picked the 3rd Ave South phone number off the computer. Nothing on the advertised pages about the remodel. Had it delivered. Arrived piping hot, delicious and only a little later than anticipated. read more

Can't beat them for taste!! They cut pizza like Chicago pizzerias and slide them in paper for take out, same as Chicago style... we consider them our Chicago pizza source!! After deciding to give this place a try i was dissapointed after all the raves it had recieved. As you would expect in such a culinary deficient town as Great Falls, no real pizza oven nor any technique or know how in making pizza. The sauce was sour and acidic, like ketchup. And the crust was bland and doughy. The cheese was questionable as whether it was real mozz and the toppings were anything but fresh. You are better off buying a frozen pizza from a super market and baking it yourself than wasting your time on Howard's Pizza. Guys, please leave the pizza making to people with culinary abilities. read more

How does this place stay in business? This is the grossest pizza I have ever had. The crust is soggy, sauce tastes like catsup, and the grease layer on the paper bag is nauseating. read more

I don't get it. How can people eat these hot circles of garbage? And why do they stuff your pizza into a paper sack?

I grew up in Great Falls and now live in Boulder where diners ordered the equivalent of $561 of food every minute in 2006. The options in Boulder are fantastic and one can eat out well every night of the month. However, there is nothing like Howard's Pizza. From the perfectly spiced sauce to the homemade sausage, Howard's is the one culinary experience from Great Falls for which I long. Although it may sound odd, the Kraut Special (sauerkraut and sausage) should definitely be tried. Stop by the Wine Mill, order a sausage & mushroom pizza, a pitcher of Coors Light and make a wish at the water wheel. read more

There are 3 foods I miss eating since I've moved away from Montana. Taco treat, fords drive inn, and Howard's pizza. Need I say more?

We ordered the deep dish style as I needed a load of carbs. The crust was yummy - a little on the yeasty-side and a little under-done (both of which were winners in our books!) Delivered to our hotel in about 45 minutes, very hot. read more

Couldn't wait to come and see what the remodel is like. The place looks fantastic, fresh and clean! Love the high tables. Service is quick and always feel like a valued customer when Tanya is waiting on us. She is very efficient and friendly! We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza and 2 side salads with blue cheese dressing and 2 sodas. $26 for all. Salads are simple but fresh and the blue cheese is excellent. Pizza crust is definitely one you don't find everywhere but we love the thin cracker like crust. We always bring our family here when they visit. We will definitely be back...again, and again! We found 4:30 pm is a good time to go. Started getting busy when we left around 5:30 pm. read more

I love pizza, and I am a believer that even bad pizza is better than no pizza... But Howard's Pizza has got to be the worst pizza there is. For some reason, many people in Great Falls adore this place. It regularly gets voted "Best Pizza in Great Falls." I just don't get it. To me, the pizza is basically a jar of sauce baked on a saltine. It's greasy and nasty, kind of like the cheapest generic frozen pizza available at Wal-Mart. Then again, they have four locations in Great Falls, so that must mean something. I find that cowboys, Wal-Mart people, and other really white folks absolutely love Howards. If this fits you, give it a go. read more

The worst service ever...seemed like we were bothering them by eating there. Good food but the attitude is why I won't give them my money!
