It's honestly refreshing to have maintenance actually answer emergency calls! Management is also very prompt and respectful of residents' privacy, even around shared spaces like the grill areas, pool and gym. The pool is always nice and clean, and the neighborhood itself is quiet and calm. Unfortunately, we are near an area where there's occasionally a lot of loitering and suspicious activity, so I definitely recommend not leaving personal belongings in your car or outside. My kids' bike was recently stolen because I left it out overnight. There is security walking around 24/7, but being in LA, thieves move fast.. so just stay vigilant like you would anywhere else in the city. Nearby lots of Shopping Montebello shopping center, costco and many Alhambra shopping places. Issues are very diligently addressed all the time. I lived there almost 18 months. I would give high rating mainly due to the Manager (Ernest Haley) and his support person (Joey Catalano) of the property, both are very kind and reachable all the time (I mean literally after office hours also). I highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking to lease a new home. As long as these guys are there you can live there happily with out any worries. Both are warm, giving building management a human face. I would love to see him train others in this profession and can envision him working for a huge real estate investment company, supervising many employees.

Updated review on new management we have after the nightmare mess that was running the place left…read more So far so good the new manager Christina has gone the extra mile to make sure residents that have been here a while are getting their units updated not just new move ins. She has brought some calm and order along with a family vibe to the complex I feel because she understands us that have children and how important it is to live in peace and a decent apartment. Hoping all can remain as is if not better. It is refreshing and rare to have management make an effort to make sure and clarify when things need fixing or improved in our unit and follow up that all went well. Grounds are kept up, the little updates made to our unit help in the quality of living for my family and myself. Having decent, mature, professional and ethical management makes a world of difference.

It was always quiet and I never had any issues with my close neighbors. I was always able to get a hold of the office both in person and via phone/email. I hated the thought of moving out, I was comfortable with the location, but I didn't have a choice. From the day I moved in, the apartment was not properly cleaned, the stove was filthy and clearly hadn't been moved or cleaned in a long time, with trash underneath it. I refused to use it and ended up buying my own stove. The kitchen cabinet door fell off as soon as I opened it, maintenance was quick to respond but the work they did was questionable, they clearly "mickey mouse" repairs. The laundry room was consistently an issue, washing machines were often broken and some of the dryers barely dried clothes. What pushed me to move out was the ongoing roach problem we had for months that was never fully resolved despite multiple treatments. As someone with a severe phobia, this situation caused stress and anxiety, and it made it very difficult for my family to feel safe and comfortable in our own home. I had to pack all of my belongings to allow treatment inside my home multiple times. Per management (Wendy), if this wasn't done, treatment wouldn't be successful. Towards the end, I had given up. I was so exhausted, so I kept my things packed away in containers. I was hardly home and stopped using my kitchen or eating there. According to Wendy, 20+ roaches hiding under the baseboards, behind my fridge and outlets isn't an infestation. I hired my own pest control and they confirmed there was an infestation in the BUILDING which caused these insects to crawl in from the walls and drains. I only lived here for a year, yet, this was one of the most distressing living experiences I've ever had, and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially families. Wendy, you lack experience, professionalism and empathy. I really tried working with you but you're a very stubborn and unreliable person. You're never in the office, either on vacation or taking care of a "private" family matter. I stopped fighting you because of the panic attacks I was having due to my living situation, but you need to understand that what you did to me was morally wrong. You tried blaming me for an infestation that has been ongoing for years. You claimed no one else complained of roaches, but you lied. All of these pictures were sent to you and you let my children and I live in this filth until our lease was over.

I didn't even use one of bathrooms and one bedroom was used to store my boxes. Aston Management team with Clara was always there to help solving issue whenever something comes up. It's always fun chatting with her. And they came up w lots of creative events for residents. I'm gonna miss them!! I left the unit super clean w professional cleaner and now is waiting time for them to come back w my deposit. There are rumors that you won't get your deposit back if living in Greystar Properties but we will see how Aston team does their job. I still have my friends living there, so would definitely stop by the office to say hi and thank them all!!

When we asked for PROOF--photos, invoices, ANYTHING--they said they DO NOT NEED ANY PROOF TO CHARGE US, after we repeatedly asking, they said they will provide WITH COURTESY and would take 7-10 business days to provide it. But at the same time, they threatened us with a tight deadline to pay within 10 days or FACE COLLECTIONS. They tried to force us to pay without giving us any evidence and pressured us with an unfair timeline. After doing some research, I found out this company has a BAD REPUTATION for OVERCHARGING UNREASONABLE MOVE-OUT FEES and SENDING ACCOUNTS TO COLLECTIONS without proper communication. It's no surprise they pulled the same tactics on us. They clearly don't care about honest tenants--they just want to steal money by inventing damages and rushing you into paying.
