I really wanted this to work for our situation. I called ahead and made an appointment. We showed…read moreup on time to have my son seen and were told they couldn't help us. We were sent to another urgent care (that my son did not have an appointment for and needed to wait to be seen) If I hadn't made an appointment I would not have been so annoyed, but because I had called ahead and spoke to someone that said they'd be available at the time of my appointment it was very odd to be sent away.

I took two of my kids in on Friday. My son had been sick for 3 days and had some sort of throat…read moreinfection. My daughter woke up with a sore throat so I thought it would be a good idea to take her in as well. We arrived at 11:15 AM and were the only patients there. We walked out at 3:15 with no diagnosis for one and the wrong diagnosis for the other. A prescription for my daughter for zofran and a prescription for prednisone for my son. Strep swab and mano blood tests both negative but the physician would not listen to the nurse who tried very hard to convince her that my son did in fact have something going on. He had Black Stone like blisters on his tonsils and was so swollen we couldn't understand him when he spoke. He was very sick and in excruciating pain. The nurse tried as hard as he could to shine the camera light into my sons throat so the dr could really see. She couldn't and since she obviously didn't trust the nurses ability...he was diagnosed with Mano (he's already had it and tested negative in this office visit) and sent on his way. My 28 years as a mother and maternal instincts kicked in and I made the decision to take him into another physicians office and they had the sense to start my son on Keflex. That's right. I paid to see another dr. So I basically donated 4 hrs and $135.00 to your ridiculous little experiment. How can you improve: 1. Please either invest in a Mac Book or a Dell 2 in 1 tablet/laptop or a tablet that syncs with the laptop that's being used. It took forever to put all info first into an iPad then again into the Dell laptop. This is basic and silly on your part not to come up with something more time efficient. 2. Make sure each sub station/clinic is equipped with all necessary tests and medication. At one point the dr asked the nurse to give my son a shot of steroids to get the process moving. He replied twice by telling her that he didn't have any steroids. a) we were adjacent to a pharmacy. Why didn't she simply call the order into the pharmacist and get my son the care he needed? Seemed unorganized and didn't seem as if anybody was trying or caring enough to solve the issue of the missing meds that should've been available. 3. Waiting on a dr should not take 45 min. The nurse tried calling and calling and calling. It was silly and felt more like a bad luck sitcom than a medical appt. 4. Make a follow up call to your patients. Especially when my son was clearly very ill and you sent him away on a wish and a prayer. Thank you for listening and I hope that my suggestions aren't ignored as I wouldn't wish our experience on anybody.

I can't emphasize enough to do your research beforehand if you use this business. Make sure you go…read moreto the CDC website & confirm exactly which vaccinations are needed for the country to which you are traveling &, especially, to the region of the county you are going to. If you are unable to get an appointment at the public health department, which is cheaper & more accurate info, consider contacting them for info about everything you need & how far apart each vaccination must be. They will give you accurate info (same info as CDC). Public Health Department in SLO County: https://www.slocounty.ca.gov/departments/health-agency/public-health/all-public-health-services/clinical-communicable-disease-services/travel-shots I also encourage you to research any vaccinations required that you got during childhood that may be required for the country to which you are traveling & how long those vaccinations provide protection (eg polio, MMR, etc) as most typically protect people for life. Additionally, keep in mind, you can save $$ & purchase the bug spray the CDC recommends with at least 30% deet to protect from disease carrying mosquitos at most stores.

Since switching to her from a "traditional doctor", my symptoms which were so frequently misdiagnosed have been treated and have completely resolved. I feel 100% better since seeing Dr. Wells. You do have to bill your own insurance, so be aware ahead of time! I was on the wait list for quite a while, but was able to be seen sooner due to a cancellation.
