Not only is he a great doctor, but he takes time with his patients, explains things well and provides a solid recommendations. I solicited his opinions several times for other family members as well. Having grown up outside of the United States, where becoming MD is not a ticket to the millionaire club I noticed that these days more and more MD's career choices are motivated by income and far less by desire to help. Dr. Debroeck is a true doctor! Honest, knowledgeable, always with a smile and a great sense of humor even in harsh situations. He puts his patients first! Frankly after ten years I cannot say enough praise about the man and his staff. Some years ago a friend of mine who recently immigrated to the US and did not have PCP got sick. After talking to several doctors, this person asked me to help, I recommended Dr. Debroeck and went along to translate. Dr. Debroeck suspected hypothyroidism and ordered the blood work. He was 100% correct in his diagnosis. While I can go on and on with great examples, I can conclude that the world would be a better place if each one of us was more like Dr.Debroeck.

He wanted to leave it there and shoot it with a steroid hoping the scar tissue would shrink. Injections appear to be the largest part of his bag of tricks. We tried it his way. No change. Went for the follow up . . .. . Waited 30 minutes after my appointment and wasn't even taken to a room. I told the staff person at the front I was leaving but THEN, and ONLY THEN . . . We are ready to take you back RIGHT NOW!!! She has your chart!! Then she arrives and takes me to a room with the promise that she will update me as to when I can expect to be seen . . . Do you think I got an update???? Nooooo . . . . . So after cooling my heels there for 15 minutes, for a total of 45 minutes later, THE DOCTOR (bow down now, please) arrives and says 'what's the problem?' I explained the timing and he so kindly said "DO YOU WANT ME TO SEE YOU OR NOT?" An apology or explanation might have helped. So at that point, I did NOT want him to see me . . . . In a town of 4 million people, there must be a few thousand dermatologists more pleasant. Some might actually work on the problem.

I have been under his treatment for a chronic medical condition, for several years, and he has, always been meticulously in my treatment, and has, always, been patient and attentive in discussing my concerns. Without fail, during each visit, he would thoroughly explain my blood test results and take the time to talk to me about the progress of my disease. There is no possibility that Dr. Alfredo Sardinas Jr. would ever conduct himself in the manner that Alayna A. had suggested in her review. Neither would his assistant conduct herself in the manner suggested by Alayna A.. Both Dr. Sardinas Jr. and his assistant, Shira, have always responded promptly to my requests and concerns. It is disturbing that someone would try to tarnish their character, reputations and good works.

Every time that I saw the Dr, he was so busy that he came into the room quickly, scoped me left without any time for questions or discussion of planned treatment.
