Houston Uptown Dentists is definitely worth the visit to Houston! I was due for a cleaning and was on spring break, so I paid a visit to their office. It's always so pleasant seeing the receptionists and dental assistants. I had a small cavity that needed filling unfortunately but the dentists and their assistants made it bearable. They typically play classic rock music and always offer seasonal specials like whitening for life or laser treatment that kills the bacteria in your mouth. They are very conscious about dental hygiene and keep me on track! They always have your best interest and give great tips and tricks if you're a soda fiend like me. I'm not always a fan of going to the dentist, but everyone there is always so conversational and sweet! There are also complimentary drinks, and you know I couldn't leave without a DP. read more

I was seen my Dr. Juarez and I can't say enough good things about her! I've had extensive dental work over the years (thanks to grinding my teeth) so naturally I have developed an extreme fear of dentists. Dr. Juarez made me feel beyond comfortable - even through me crying nervous tears lol. The actual filling was COMPLETELY painless. Even the initial novocaine shot didn't hurt (and all my other dentists' initial novocaine shots have hurt). She even gives you special futuristic glasses to watch a movie while she's working on you. Best dental experience ever. She has definitely gained a permanent patient for as long as I'm here in Houston. If you fear dentists, you are in the best hands with Dr. Juarez! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Houston Uptown Dentists and specifically Drs. Hanna Lindskog and Amanda Juarez. Thank you Dr. Lindskog and Jennifer for the remarkable service and caring manner you showed during my several visits over the past couple of months to get my smile beautiful and healthy again. Instead of dreading the dentist, I now see it as a very relaxing routine and the cleaning almost like a massage! Now on to Dr. Amanda Juarez, who is treating me for sleep apnea and breathing, offering an orthodontic mouth guard approach rather than the dreaded CPAP machine, which I hate. She is an angel, explaining everything in detail and even sharing her own experiences. I've just started using my custom mouthpiece and downloaded the snorelab app. I moved around freely in my sleep and woke up with zero regrets on investing in this little comfortable appliance! No tubes, no noise, no chin strap, no ordering extra supplies, no cumbersome ugly machine on your nightstand, and best of all - the freedom of movement! A couple weeks of adjustment to get the jawline just right then I'll be able to go on vacation and actually share a room with my sister! State of the art equipment, beautiful private rooms with outstanding views of the Galleria/Post Oak area and a lovely staff that greets me cheerfully on every visit are also some great perks about the professional ladies at Uptown. I really DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL!!! I went there for my checkup and in the first visit for cleaning they asked me if I wanted fluoride but didn't tell me they charge for this. When I was checking out they asked me for $30 for the fluoride, I was surprised because I was not expecting pay. At this visit they gave me an estimate for the treatment, it was basically to re-do 2 crowns. The amount was more than $2K after insurance. They gave me a document with this price. I decided to do the treatment. On my second day of treatment they asked me to pay another amount of around 2K. I told I just paid it in the previous visit and they told, it was only for one side, you need to pay 2K more for another side. I really can't understand how they gave me an estimative of half amount at the check up, making me decide for a treatment they are going to charge double! I complain and showed them the document with the total estimative of the treatment was 2K and I paid, but no way... they were charging me more than 4K. They told me I could set up a plan for payment and after that I had a lot of back and forth emails with the office discussing the price because they were charging me wrong, they were trying to charge the fluoride again and trying to explain me the dentist gave me a discount and it is only $30!!! I paid and had the receipt! A lot of confusing, it looks they were throwing numbers to get paid!! Terrible, really unacceptable!!! I wrote my last email 2 months ago to tell about the amount was not making sense... and told them I was about to give a review for the real stuff happened there... they've never respond me... really, don't go to this place! I started the payments and after my review on google maps they start sending me a text message and emails that "I have a balance due". Seriously, they are trying to charge me more now. I called the office to ask for clarification on what I am going to pay and they forward to me the same email I was asking about clarification because the bill does not make sense. Even though my insurance wasn't accepted, the price I was quoted was very reasonable, and the service was exceptional. Dr. Lindskog explained my treatment plan in detail, and I was able to get the work done on the same day. My wife's 100+ yr old grandfather, her mother, and she have gone here for probably over a decade. She convinced me to give them a try when I moved to Houston, and I'm very impressed. They have one of the best cleaning services I've ever had and keep up with the most advanced dental technology and techniques. I can tell that Dr. Juarez stays busy trying to learn new processes, techniques, and technology. I will say, this isn't one of the cheapest places around, but you're paying for quality. Luckily, my employer funded HSA has thus far covered most of my cavity fillings, so it's not been a big deal, but just know that they charge a price commensurate with being one of the most up-to-date offices around. But I in no way feel like I didn't receive service commensurate with the price. I'll continue coming here, thanks to the service I've received and the new tech they've used to keep my mouth clean :). Just as Hurricane Harvey hit, I broke a part of a crown off. I called the emergency line and got a call back within 30 minutes!! Alex was reassuring while I panicked a little about the poor timing. She said that if I was in pain, to call her back, and someone would meet me at the office. If not, I would have the first appointment on Tuesday after the holiday. This is hands down the best dentist office I've ever been to in my life. If you hate going to the dentist this is the place to go. I went to have cosmetic dental bonding where they essentially reshape your teeth by adding a mould instead of having to do veneers. I had this done before in Florida but it was time for a redo (redone approx every 5-10 years). They had to take x-rays which always makes me nervous due to a bad gag reflex and someone shoving a large piece of plastic into your cheek. The tech worked with me and used the smallest ones possible and got the pictures on the first shot. I met with Dr. Lindskogg who did my bonding and she is such a perfectionist which is exactly what you want in a dentist! The entire procedure took about two hours or so but was so easy. This office provides you with anything you could need. I had a neck pillow, a warm blanket, and Netflix goggles where you can watch anything you want and block out almost all of the sound from their tools. If you opt out of the goggles you can still enjoy a pretty sweet view of uptown. My results were fabulous and they were able to work with my insurance on part of it. My friend who is a dentist noticed immediately and complimented me on the world. I had also wanted gum contouring and HUD referred me to one of their partners that is a periodontics office. I will be coming back for a cleaning soon and am not even dreading it. This is the place to go, 10/10!! read more

Like most of us I've never looked forward to a visit to the dentist. That all changed after my first visit to Houston Uptown Dentists. Firstly, the office is very upscale and fitted with many niceties. The staff is extremely polite and genuinely glad to see you. It seems as every convenience is made available to make the patient comfortable and at ease. It's almost a spa like atmosphere it's so relaxing. Krista, the Dental Technician whom I've seen several times now, is so nice and knowledgeable that it's actually a pleasure now to get my teeth cleaned. Dr. Lent is truly remarkable. This dentist informed me that I needed $500 worth of work on my teeth to fix 9 issues with my teeth. After getting a second consult... I do not need any work on my teeth. I am in my 20s and eat a very healthy diet so it should have raised some red flags to the dentist that in 1 year I have had 9 cavities form. Overall, completely unsatisfied with this dentist.
