My partner made the mistake of helping cover some of the contractor's expenses upfront, and the project was never finished. We were left with doors that don't open, doors held on with liquid nails, unfinished cabinets, a dented dryer, and incomplete painting throughout the laundry room. After paying, the contractor sent a Formal Notice of Termination and left the job in an unacceptable state. His contract stated (the project is substantially complete) whatever that means.... After getting several different bids/estimates from big name waterproofing companies I was told so…read moremany different things that my home needed ranging from $5,000-$90,000!!! I was so stressed over what to do with my home since none of the treatment options were the same. I was told everything from an epoxy sealer to numerous piers. I was recommended to Quakers through another person and found their reviews to be amazing. I called and spoke with the owners wife who is the secretary. She was extremely kind and helpful and got her husband out to inspect my home in a reasonable time frame. The owner (also a local police officer) who is actually the son of the original owner spoke with me and came to my home for the evaluation. He found absolutely nothing wrong with my home that required waterproofing. He said the cracks I was seeing to my walls were due to poor drywall craftsmanship and he wouldn't do a thing to my home other than maybe get a general contractor out to redo the drywall if the cracks bothered me that much. He even walked around and explained each area in detail to me and showed me how the cracks would look if it was being caused by water. He did tell me the only foundation issue I had was related to my driveway and front porch and gave me the name of a company to call to have it looked at since it was not directly attached to my home and in no way affecting my homes foundation. He also gave me the name of a structural engineer to call for a structural evaluation if I had any reason to doubt his findings. He said if the engineer found anything he'd come back and re-evaluate those findings. I actually contacted both people the driveway lifters and the engineer and had our driveway repaired and the engineering report conducted. The driveway was an easy affordable fix and the engineer was also affordable and found nothing wrong with our home that all these other big name waterproofing companies said I needed. The fact that he didn't try and sell me something I didn't need like four other companies tried to do is very NOBLE and HONEST!!! I could've spent a small fortune on my home for no reason at all. Solid family business with core values. Would recommend.

The house was infested with carpenter ants before we moved in and if we wanted the problem fixed we had to pay for it ourselves. Any issue that came up during our time there was either ignored, disregarded, or took weeks to get taken care of. The final straw was when I reached out to Kim on September 23rd to make her aware of mice. Helmut and Kim's response was "put down poison and traps, they'll go away" They didn't go away. By November, the house was INFESTED with mice. I begged them to send an exterminator, but they would not. In one 24 hour stretch in November, I killed or trapped 5 mice. We signed the 1 year lease June 1st, 2019 and moved out March 1st, 2020. We paid our rent on time each month, even during the mouse infestation, we got permission to move out earlier than our lease stated with promise of no penalty. We gave 30 days notice of vacancy, cleaned the house, paid for a professional carpet cleaner, and left the house in better condition than when we moved in. We had an exit walk through on March 2nd where a document was signed promising our deposit of $1650 to be returned in full. We have emails and texts proving all of this, and that Kim said we would refund our deposit within 1 week. It is now 5 weeks later (April 7th) and still nothing. Beware of this company. They are slumlords, thieves, and do not know how to run a business.
