I verified that my 37 foot 5th wheel would fit... they said it would because they have 50 foot sites. I looked on their website & the spot looked good. I gave a deposit along with two months of payment. When I arrived the spots were definitely not 50 feet.. there is no way 5 RVs and vehicles could fit in this lot. To get into the spots you need to back up onto a 6% grade, idk how RVs can get in without scraping up their under carriage (pictures of my RV on this hill included). The pictures on their website are not accurate to what is actually there (picture of actual lot included, it's the picture with the dog in it). In order to get out of the road that the lot is located in, you have to use the neighbors driveway, the neighbors are not happy with this RV lot being here. Luckily, the neighbors were kind enough to assist in getting us off this road, but that didn't happen without damaging my electrical box on my hitch, along with my truck bed cover because of the tight space (see pictures) The camp host, Sandy, was so kind & called around to help me find a new spot to full time in. The owners are not present on the property, so I called them & explained the situation. They weren't helpful like Sandy & it took them a day to refund my money. The least they could of done was refund it immediately. I've full time RV'd for 2 years, traveled to many states & this trip I traveled 2200 miles. Nothing like this has ever happened to me, this website is false advertising & I am unsure how this lot was approved by any governing body to conduct business. Not to mention it's a terrible thing to do to another person that's traveled across two countries to provide a service for their community.

In addition to two campgrounds cabins, there are countless lakes, ponds, streams and creeks, trails, parking lots and toilets. There's even canoe rentals. In winter theres some limited trail grooming as well. Fishing is popular in some of the lakes- see the state website for deets. Berry picking is excellent you're willing to explore as well. Bears are a real concern here so be prepared, we've seen them. Amazing bird watching as well. My only negative comment is the smaller campground by Nancy Lake proper is garbage- it needs a total overhaul. Head toward the campground by Rollly Lake deep in forest for the goods- you won't be disappointed.

If the ratings are good definitely a nice spot to view the aurora. We rented a dry cabin for an overnight trip, and we're upset we didn't book for 2 nights. We were in cabin #4 as a party of 4 adults, 1 toddler & a lab with plenty of space. This cabin could easily accommodate 6 adults comfortable, but there was bunk space for 8. There are quite a few state owned dry cabins in this area. A few of them are even newer constructions, and very nice. We thought we were going to have to snowshoe into the cabin, but to our surprise the trails were groomed for cross country skiing so it was a very easy walk to cabin #4. The only downside of renting this cabin is this area is pretty busy with skiers and snowmobilers (snowmachiners) accessing the lake. We took a few mile walk around the lake. We considered ice fishing, but didn't due to lack of daylight. We saw a few people out fishing, but Nancy lake isn't exactly known to be a fishing location. We had a very nice time staying at the dry cabins, and I think they're a really fun activity to get out in the winter time!

They have a variety of different sites, we had one with electric and water. The price was $30 with 2 free showers which is nice. Laundry was only $2 a load. The main building with bathrooms and showers were close , the sites are well kept and easy to maneuver and fellow campers were respectful and quiet. The host and owner was amenable and helpful. The main building closes at 8:30 but there is super clean flush toilets near all sites for after hours if you aren't in an RV with facilities or in a tent. There is some highway noise but the park is far enough off the street to muffle it a bit. The view is of aspenst, greenery and sky and is very tranquil. There was a gardener there when we had supper who was planting and keeping everything nice looking. The cleanliness cannot be overstated. I would stay here as a central site if I ever come back this way.

This is one of the weirdest Camgrounds I've ever encountered in Alaska... and it makes me…read moreembarrassed to be an Alaskan. Basically, if you're coming here to camp, this is not the site for you. This is basically a place for locals who live in the boonies (bc this IS the boonies with little access to amenities) to come fishing, park for a couple days and chat with fellow fishermen. There are NO and I mean nooooo amenities at this campground other than pit toilets. They don't even have potable water. Nor bear boxes. Each "campsite" doesn't even have a picnic table. And the sites are so close together, it's not much bigger than a parking lot. When we first drove through, I thought it WAS just a parking lot (for day-use.) But I was shocked to learn this whole place is just a giant asphalt parking lot carved into sections of 10 or so with little patches of grass if you want to throw up a tiny, and I mean TINY tent. There are little to no trees however in the campsite area. So why 2 stars. Well, the forest and Willow Creek itself is magnificent. There's plenty to explore and enjoy, especially if you're a fisherman. Basically if you want to fish, launch, and require a place to park with no nonsense, this will do the trick. BRING EVERYTHING YOU NEED, Willow is in the boonies- that means wood, water, food, etc. There is a gas station with ice and basics, but don't count on them for anything.
