I was a little nervous, not sure how to make an appointment, cost, the process but I told myself, if I walk in and I am welcomed with open arms and they don't giggle at me for having zero tattoos, I would do it. Kolby and group greeted me openly, I asked my newby questions, and poof, appointment on the books (with a deposit). Now I seriously want to come here everyday and get new ink, I am not kidding, I have to hold myself back. I appreciate how clean and fun this place is and they are extremely talented, kind of what you want in tattoo artists. Kolby has rocked my experiences/tattoos off the chart and both times walking me through his process as I needed. He is an excellent support with his positive and funny banter and thoughtfulness (getting me his coat to cover up since my tattoos have been on my rib cage/chest area). He is also an excellent artist, I lucked out on this find. I seriously don't have enough positive words to share that can showcase the amazing experiences and high quality of work. Let me say this to all the non-tattooed people that want to be tattooed but are scared, like I was, do it here! Just go. You will be smiling from ear-to-ear that you finally did it.... Mike is the mothertrucking man and, one day, I might even get some ink from another artist. Going back in just under a week for tat number two. These guys make you feel comfortable, are good to shoot the breeze with, and they play some excellent metal while you sit and get poked with needles. I will say, they are probably more expensive than you're used to, but totally worth it. Mike charged $100 an hour, but got a good-sized one (approx 5" x 5", with color) done in 1.5 hours, so $150 for a big, badass tattoo. Come down and get some work done, pansie!

(I currently reside in Las Vegas.) I had initially made my appointment with another business for Wednesday morning, but that fell through at the last minute, and I was forced to scour Yelp for other tattoo parlors that would be willing to take a walk-in. (I had already purchased tickets for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" at 3:30 and, thus, needed to get my ink done in less than 2 1/2 hours.) I finally landed at Black Cat Tattoo. Travis Campion took my phone call, and he assured me he could have me in and out in a couple hours. I emailed him a picture of what I wanted, and when I arrived ten minutes later, he already had a drawing prepared. (I'm a Super Mario Bros fan, and I chose an image of Mario riding Yoshi.) Travis started working on my right bicep around 12:30 and was done by 2:45. And while I was prepared for the pain, I was pleasantly surprised that the amount and duration of pain was well within tolerable levels. I was very pleased overall with my experience at Black Cat, and with Travis in particular. He gave clear instructions for the care of my tattoo and invited me to call him anytime with questions. His price was also fair and reasonable for the size and amount of time involved. The artwork and ink were very well done, and my friends and family have given praise as well. For my first - and probably only - tattoo, I'm very happy I ended up with Travis and Black Cat Tattoo!

I have had nothing but compliments on them over the years, and they have held up very well for their age. Mike had recommended I go to Sean, if he ever wasn't around, or if there was something he knew Sean would do better. Recently, I had a piece that didn't turn out so well after healing, not to mention the fact that my first experience with an artist from a shop that was NOT Black Cat could only be described as unprofessional (Bad attitude, bad work ethic, and ultimately, a bad tattoo). This shop was in WA, where I live now. I decided to go see Sean, when I was in town for Christmas. Sean completely revived this piece and breathed new life into it. It looks better than it ever did to begin with. He even came in on his day off to accommodate my being there from out of town. The level of customer service and the quality of work I receive(d) at Black Cat Tattoo is a night and day difference from the other place. I made the mistake of going elsewhere for my nose (nostril) piercing in November 2021. I developed a bump that wouldn't go away for MONTHS. I went back to the place I got the piercing multiple times for help, and little did I know the recommendations they were giving me were harmful to my skin. Fast forward to March 2022 -- I go to my doctor because I'm so discouraged, and we realized that the material of the piercing was NOT implant grade, and therefore has nickel and is an irritant to most skin types (like why would you even offer this?!). AND it was a corkscrew piercing which is just painful (I didn't know any better!!). I went to Sam based on reviews, and she gave me hope that I could keep my nose piercing. She helped me pick a piercing that I could customize, explained the science and reasoning behind piercing care, and was kind enough to give me her card to text any additional questions and to come back in. Now, two weeks later my bump is almost entirely gone and I love my new piercing so much! I have major regrets that I didn't go to Sam in the first place - it would have saved me so money and prevented so much anxiety and stress.

The shop is incredibly clean and beautifully decorated with amazing paintings. I scheduled my appointment many months ago through Wendy. Although we had never met, I felt like we had always been friends. She's so fun and always has a smile for clients when they come in. I met with Tony Adamson and we discussed ideas of how to work with my existing work to create a flowing back piece. It required some cover-ups, which was a bit of a challenge, but the end result was absolutely outstanding. Tony is truly one of the best artists I've ever known! I traveled from San Francisco to have him finish my back and I couldn't be happier that I did. I'll be back for more!! I booked an appointment with Queenie during her $100/hr special. I've had over a dozen tattoos, and…read moremy husband is fully covered, so we know how tattoo sessions typically go. What I experienced here was unlike anything I have before. I sent Queenie pictures when I initially scheduled the appointment and then a few more on the day of when she told me that she had already drawn something up and would have to delay our appointment by an hour since I was changing that. When I booked, I had only sent her a few ideas of what I was thinking so she had a rough idea of placement, timing, etc. I assumed we would work together to design something when I arrived. It was never communicated to me that she would be drawing something up ahead of time. We had to spend a good amount of time taking elements out of the design That she had created because it was much busier than I wanted. Then she spent a long time creating the stencils and even running downstairs several times to replace the toner cartridge. None of this was a big deal when I didn't realize I was getting charged $100 an hour for it. When she put the stencil on I said I felt like the scale was off and that we needed to go smaller. Instead of working with me, she snapped, "Do you just want to come back another day?!" and told me that she would need to charge me if this kept taking longer. I told her I was happy to pay to get this tattoo right. We removed a few more elements and at that point, I just felt pressured to move forward and super overwhelmed so I said we were all good to go. During the tattoo, I asked what she was considering for her back tattoo, and she made multiple comments about how bad ornamental work (Which is the Style of tattoo she was doing for me) looks next to realism (which is the large back piece that I already). She was basically saying how bad my design choice was without saying it. I didn't even hear it at the time but I can't imagine that's accidental by a tattoo artist. To criticize putting the two styles I'm having permanently on my body, right to me, was pretty rude. By the end of the session, she charged me $400 for four hours, even though a large portion of that time was on design and stencil. I still tipped 20% and even left an additional $100 deposit for a follow-up appointment, hoping to move forward and not realizing how much I compromised the tattoo I was getting. When I later texted her about the timing and thought maybe we did the math wrong, she stood by it and told me my tattoo would've been $650 with anyone else. Then I told her my concerns with the tattoo and she asked how I would want to fix it - basically agreeing to work on it and apologizing that I wasn't happy and felt rushed. When I sent her pictures of what I was thinking, and that I was even considering lasering off part of it so that I wouldn't have to compromise the design I wanted, she suddenly said that she didn't think we should work together anymore--but still refused to refund my $100 deposit. So not only did I have a terrible experience and get overcharged, but she also kept an extra $100 deposit for work she refuses to do. Tattooing is personal and Not everyone is a good fit for each other. I totally get that. We clearly shouldn't work together, but to not return my deposit when you are the one not willing to book another appointment is wild. I absolutely wouldn't recommend booking with Queenie.

I couldn't believe how readily available he was and how much he wanted to help. As soon as you walk in to his shop you could feel how clean and organized it was.
