Being 250 miles from home, knowing nobody in the area and needing to be in the Twin Cities the next day, financially and logistically we looked to be between a rock and a hard place. We wanted to spend a day in Red Wing, but we had tickets and hotels that could not be cancelled w/o losing our money if we didn't show in St. Paul the next night. Renting a car was very difficult logistically, out of Red Wing. Especially since the weekend was approaching. Enter, Siewert's Towing. They towed our broken down vehicle and gave us a ride to our hotel about 10 miles away. Knowing our situation, they made no promises but said they'd do what they could. Beyond staffing and other issues of an unscheduled repair, there were parts to obtain. The work took all of Friday to complete, but it wasn't an easy job. Siewert's even gave us a ride to the one attraction we had planned on seeing in Red Wing, while we waited for the work to be done. By late afternoon, they brought us back to the shop and sent us on our way. Their work and pricing was honest and great. The car runs as it should. These are just the type of folks you pray to meet if you are far from home with a broken down car and don't know what to do! We will be forever grateful!

Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. The first time was an oil change for my 08 VW GLI. They were very reasonably priced and spent a few minutes going over the oil change and inspection they did on the car. I might have preferred to bring it to a VW dealer, but there is no one within 40 miles...turned out that bringing it to the Chevy dealer worked out just fine. (Although I would still go to the VW dealer for more critical repairs, obviously). Next return was for a bad wheel. One of my rims got damaged on a pot hole and they helped me get my car back on the road. I ordered a replacement wheel and they did the swap/balance for a reasonable price. If I owned a Chevy, Buick or Caddy, I would be happy to have them service my car. And if the 2013 Verano is as nice as I suspect it will be, they may earn my business as a buyer too.

I sold my truck I bought from here and the new owner was shocked why I sold it lol and how clean and well cared for it was .. I just wanted to try a car out again so I bought another car only to bring it here and get another truck this year that a pretty blue one ..I've had many colors in cars but never blue .. might have to put Batman on here somewhere lol
