After days of craving something beyond the usual burgers, pizza, and pasta, this place was exactly what we needed. A true standout that I would gladly return to again and again.

Anyway, this place had decent reviews so we came here for some dim sum at midnight. The place has as royalty feel to it (hence the name) so there's tons of chandelier and tons of elaborate Chinese decor. The portions are huge and the dim sum was delicious. We couldn't finish our meal but at least we were full and the price for our entire meal wasn't bad, it was about 50 euros after everything. Worth a stop if you're craving chinese food or dim sum while in Rotterdam.

The tea here was excellent and very fragrant. Most of the dishes were delicious and well-prepared. However, there were two downsides: the steamed grouper seemed to be frozen as the meat was mushy and not fresh, and the braised pork belly (kau yuk) was quite difficult to eat for our taste. Overall, it was a filling meal, and we appreciated that the food wasn't overly salty or MSG-heavy, so we didn't feel thirsty afterward. Worth a visit.

Authentic Dim Sum in the Heart of Amsterdam If you are looking for authentic Chinese flavors near…read morethe Red Light District/Chinatown, Oriental City is the place to go. It's a multi-level restaurant that stays packed during prime hours, which is always a good sign for the food quality. They serve Dim Sum all day, which is a huge plus. The flavors are very traditional. While the Dim Sum was solid across the board, the Beef Chow Fun was the absolute standout--perfectly prepared with that signature "wok hei" (breath of the wok). The staff isn't necessarily warm and fuzzy, but they are efficient. Don't expect a long chat, but you'll get your food quickly. Be prepared for a bit of a climb; the restaurant spans several floors and it appears to be stairs-only. It gets very crowded, so timing your visit is key. A must-visit for Chinese food fans in Amsterdam. Just be ready for a lively, busy environment!

It seems like they properly used woks and the right high-heat temperatures for cooking and everything was made fresh rather than made from manufactured / pre-prepared food! - Shrimp rice roll - the rice roll is thick and has a nice chew, shrimp was nice and nearly wrapped into the center of each piece - Chow fun - solid chewy texture , could have had more beef but good amount of oil, some of the noodles clumped together and were undercooked but the dish was still very tasty - Veggies - really nice! mushrooms were flavorful and cooked all the way through and other veggies had decent flavor / texture too, timed the cooking right so they weren't overly mushy or crunchy

(I have been deprived of authentic, tasty Chinese food in Germany; hence my opinion might be a little biased.) We ordered the sliced fish with broccoli. Our last Diwsh was the platter of three meats - roast chicken, duck, and pork. The duck was crispy and moist. Yummy! Chicken was good too. However the pork fell short. Overall it was a fantastic meal with generous portions. In total it costed 55 euro. Highly recommend this place.
