The YMCA activity / sports center has been nothing but a 5-star experience. Everyone is so nice,…read morehelpful & patient. I'm very impressed. Every piece of my experience thus far has exceeded expectations. Everyone from the folks who work at the front desk, the music program through the School of Rock & teacher Lolly, the staffing at the fields, the coaches, to Andrew Yannarella who I believe manages the sport / soccer program has made me happy. They have made the chaos of scheduling kid activities manageable. Today during the 4/5 year old soccer practice I watched 2 coaches who have excellent soccer skills approach an unruly group of kiddos with encouragement, patience, instruction and sportsmanship. All while some kids spent a lot of the time falling, playing in another field, or dribbling the ball (with their hands). No matter what they took time to bring everyone together. I'm not sure their names, but Blue & Green team coaches 10/2/21 +.

I looked around and contacted several different trainers, Jeff responded before anyone else. Although I looked at a few others, I picked Jeff because I just liked him. It was an excellent choice. He is dedicated, he knows so much about wellness and more importantly he is always learning. I can ask anything about nutrition, lifestyle or training and if he needs more information, he finds out and then shares with me. The thing that matters most is that here I am, four months past my big day and I still train with Jeff. I am also so happy to say that my husband was so impressed with what he saw and with what I told him, that he now trains with Jeff too. I have been so impressed with the way in which Jeff has modified everything to meet my husband where he is. A very different place than where I ever was, and the results are already visible. Not only does my husband look healthier, he clearly feels better too. It has been such a positive experience for both of us.

When I first joined, I went out of my way to try to be friendly with them, that did not last long. Yes, the equipment is very good and provides a good deal of variety for all ages and goals. They also have a good variety of classes. What detracts from this gym are the people sitting on the equipment between sets, playing with their cell phones, oblivious to others waiting to use the equipment, and worse oblivious to their misuse of the gym itself. I have been working out in gyms for over 30 years and have seen the decline in gym etiquette. It is currently at rock bottom, here and in most gyms. Partly to blame is the ignorance of most people on what the purpose of a "circuit" workout is. They simply sit on the equipment between sets, scrolling away, and worse of all, they know better but do it anyway. Phone addiction. When a new member joins, the gym could provide some instruction on gym etiquette, set the rules for cell phone use and educate their clientele on the proper way to use the circuit equipment. Some level of employee floor supervision is needed. If you are not using the machine... get off. No phone use while sitting on circuit equipment. Keep people moving, that is the point of the workout, to raise the heartrate and keep it at a raised level for optimum results. Ignorance rules the gym these days, and the owners need to step up and provide CLEAR guidance on cell phone use while on a machine. Also, I am pretty sure someone across the gym was recording me working out today... unsettling.
