They food at the restaurant mostly comes fresh and direct straight from the butcher / bakery. (They also have a catering service. They really do it all.) The restaurant serves classic German and modern German dishes. They have a different special every evening all served in a comfy cozy atmosphere. The tables are classic string wood with benches, booths, and comfy chairs. Christine is a great hostest / waitress / bartender (beer and wine and limited aperitif) who may even be cooking back in the kitchen. I had a good Wiezen beer and I ordered the special which was a Feldsalat, Turkey Rolls with mashed potatoes and a homemade turkey gravy. The Feldsalat had bacon strip crumbles, bacon vinaigrette dressing and homemade croutons that were straight from the oven and still hot. So good! The turkey roll was moist and delicious and the gravy top it all off. A great meal and I will definitely be back!

It was the cleanest restaurant we've eaten at during our vacation. The food was amazing and the portions were great. Everyone loved their meals and we left with full bellies feeling satisfied and happy. So glad we went there. It's a must stop if you're anywhere near Vilseck.

We were visiting friends at Rose Barracks so if you are in the area, this place is only a short distance away and worth eating off the base. The cheese spatzle was literally one of the best I've had this whole trip, and I wish I ordered a second one just to take home and eat again the next day! All three of us ordered something different to try each plate. The deer was amazing. It's smothered in a nice gravy sauce. The schnitzel was also pretty outstanding and the grilled chicken in butter sauce was great as well. Everything here seemed to be cool to perfection.
