The pool area is a nice setup, but it could use some cleaning attention. They should also invest in some flowers and greenery out there, as it feels a bit sparse and not very inviting. That said, I always enjoy my stays here. The interior is clean, and the staff is friendly and ready to assist. The lobby is stunning -- beautiful floors, gorgeous chandeliers, and well-maintained greenery that adds a lush, welcoming touch. The theme speaks for itself -- "Legends." Beautiful black-and-white framed photos of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and other icons set the perfect tone. The chandeliers in the rooms are a lovely touch as well.

You also get a faux casino chip coin for a free beverage of your choice at the lobby restaurant (when open) as well as at the barista counter where you can get a specialty coffee, house wine and select beer and other continental breakfast and snack items. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and comfortable; however, beds were a little too small as I feel they should go up to king sized. Also, no microwaves are provided in the rooms. Decor is from the Hollywood celebrities glamour of the 40's which is a little cool but also a little too overdone. Loved that this is a smoke free hotel as most lodging at the nearby casinos is not smoke free. Would have loved to stay at least one more night! Short from a five star review is due to the lobby restaurant only open on Weds-Sun evenings and no laundry facilities on site. Parking is plentiful and free of charge.

From the elegant décor to the inviting atmosphere, it felt like we had been transported to a luxury hotel in a major city. The space is stunning without feeling stuffy, making it equally great for a date night, a girls' night out, or simply relaxing after a long day. Make sure you check out the rooftop bar! I have stayed at South Beach Resort many times over the years, so it is disappointing to say that…read morethis will likely be my last visit. This morning, I went downstairs early for breakfast so my wife could sleep in. I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast opened, so I took a walk along the boardwalk while waiting. Breakfast is only served from 7:00-9:00 a.m., which seems unusually limited for an area known for charter fishing, where many guests are up and on the water early. When breakfast opened at 7:00, I entered the dining area and began preparing my breakfast. An employee then took the food out of my hand because I was not wearing my bracelet. I understand having rules and requiring bracelets, and I have no problem following them. However, the way the situation was handled was unnecessary and embarrassing. As I was returning to my room, the lobby attendant then accused me of taking a red Gatorade. It was actually a Coke that I had brought down from my room. I told the employee that there are cameras throughout the lobby and suggested they review the footage before accusing a guest of stealing. Later, I returned to breakfast with my children, making sure that all of us had our bracelets on. I then noticed approximately 10-12 other guests eating breakfast without bracelets. This was extremely frustrating after the way I had just been treated. My issue is not with enforcing resort policies. My issue is the inconsistent enforcement and the way guests are treated. I have been a loyal guest at South Beach Resort for years, and I have never experienced anything like this. Being treated as though I was attempting to steal food and then being accused of taking a drink that I had brought from my own room was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my opinion of the resort. I hope management reviews what happened and addresses the way these situations are handled so other guests do not have a similar experience.

I chose this boutique over the other one down the street because of price, parking, and convenience. The hotel has pictures of every room on their website, what the balcony will be and your view, the bathroom area, everything, so there were no surprises. I booked online and was charged pretty quickly, as they tell you up front. There are about 3-4 hours where a staff member is there to check in, and if for some reason you can't go during that time, they will leave your information out for you. Parking was easy, and there are plenty of well-lit spaces. At night, the spots on Scenic are usually taken by patrons of Bacchus and the Deck, but you should be able to still find a safe one. You I was greeted by the friendliest employee (Jordan, I believe), and I was made to feel like an old friend very quickly. There is a code to enter the room. My room was super cute and cozy. I was in 205, immediately off the elevator. I had a small balcony that is directly over the door of the hotel. The bathroom is large - so much space. There was a stand up shower only, and there could have been better lighting, but there was a lot of space in there. Even though my room was immediately at the elevator, I never heard a sound from anyone. There is a communal Keurig on each floor. i opted out of housekeeping for my short weekend stay, but I heard them when I was getting ready and they sounded friendly speaking to another guest. Be sure to head over the Bacchus and the Deck for your discounted meal. Both restaurants are just across the street and they're local favorites. You can walk over to the coffee/book store, the wine and spirits shop is a short walk, along with some little gift stores and even a take out sushi place. You can get to the beach by foot and there is a pedestrian crosswalk just down the street. I will certainly recommend Hotel Pass Christian to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay for a nice weekend.

I'll just leave that to your imagination. If your between the ages of 40-100 this place is perfect for you. You can definitely appreciate the quietness, the quilt on your bed, and the whole ambiance of the hotel. The hotel room is just bland. In the guest book it says that the hotel has been recently remodeled to look like a home from back in the day. I ask the lady how long is recenlty and she said 10yrs ago!!! Our shower door was broken. There was a wooden table and chairs. Its just not what you expect when you come to a hotel. I expect luxury and what I got was a room from 1890. Sunday Brunch is actually what Plantation is known for. That was probably the best part of our whole stay at the hotel. It was a breakfast buffet which included eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage. (the norm) But it was actually pretty good. I can't complain about that part. This hotel is actually in close proximity to the outlets if you want to go shopping and about 15minutes from the casiono's.
