We were greeted by gracious hotel staff that offered us champagne to enjoy on the rooftop terrace. When you walk out onto the terrace, you get the most incredible views. They also have a hot tub on the rooftop. The main lobby of the hotel small but includes a dining area where you eat breakfast and a small wine cellar. The receptionist are great and can book any events or make restaurant reservations for you. The rooms are very clean and spacious compared to a lot of the other hotels in the area. Overall, a wonderful hotel with some of the most beautiful views of Tropea. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip.

Stayed here through Thomas Cook at the beginning of the summer season so it was relatively quiet…read more This was generally a good thing receiving great service from the friendly staff and the pool being pretty quiet if a little cold. The public areas are modern and clean with the rooms slightly dated and basic, but again clean and well kept. The food was good and very good in choice and quantity. I would call the dishes simple, but tasty. The location is somewhat remote but walk able to the local station and shops.

We drove 6 hours with no…read moreservice in the mountains to Tropea and discovered that the hotel failed to provide parking so we parked in the center of town and decided to leisurely walk to the hotel. However, little did we know, the hotel was a 25 minute strenuous up hill walk away, and I have a broken knee so this was a horrific experience. After profusely sweating dragging our suitcases up hills on cobblestone streets nearly getting hit by cars, we finally found the hotel, only to discover that it was PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND BOARDED UP. We were stranded, dripping in sweat, exhausted, and extremely disappointed. Luckily, Sui Generis Tropea, the hotel we decided to book after enduring this experience, was lovely. 5 stars to them. All in all, BEWARE!!!!
