Judging by the flocks of suits I saw, it seems popular with the business crowd, which makes sense. That said, it's a perfectly nice mid-range hotel, pretending to be upscale, with most of the right amenities, and decently updated rooms and very good service. The staff was great throughout, and while the rooms are generic and pretty spare, they are modern with a good layout and lots of space. Bathroom is a nice size, with a toilet and a bidet, and a walk in shower with decent water pressure. Amenities include dispensers with soap and shampoos...though no bathrobes or slippers. The breakfast buffet is nice and fresh, a good variety and the room it's in has a nice view. If you're staying on the Calle Menorca side of the hotel, you will get some traffic noise seeping in -- room soundproofing here isn't the best. The front desk was great though -- shout out to Javier for taking care of a maintenance issue-- and the bar was a solid place to get a drink. Good beds with comfy pillows and a very good location with lots of restaurant options right down the street.

I felt it kind of necessary first, feeling like we really got lucky for the price-to-quality ratio and secondarily because we went through the great Spain power outage of April 2025 with an amazing staff that held it all together enabled in part by the fact the hotel has a back up generator First and foremost was the hospitality and care with which its director Jose' Antonio showed having just arrived one hour prior to the outage. Special notice needs to be mentioned is Randy in the restaurant along with a really gracious and kind David behind the bar and Paul's a waitress. The food and beverage manager (a title I have made up) named Laura was/is here both night and day and has been sure to greet us every day and evening. Located on a busy avenue with short walking distance to centre downtown the location is enhanced by its proximity to the once river bed now green belt whose section we were nearest called Park de Capcalera. This dry riverbed has now been turned into a public parkway inclusive of futbol pitches and baseball diamonds. My only drawback with the rooms is the lack of room refrigerators and limited access to ice as we are spoiled and somewhat entitled Americans. Oh. As an Architect if I was to be responsible for the design of this place I would highlight the exterior emergency stair as it is actually a thing of sculptural beautiful. Just about 20 mins or so though! (There's a really nice golf course just across the street for anyone who plays.) I booked last minute on Expedia with no issues. It was reasonable and check in and out was simple. Hospitality was excellent and everyone was super friendly. Our room was spacious, especially for European standards, and most importantly, the bed was big enough. As some of you know, a double room overseas isn't two queen beds, but rather two twins. These were pushed together making it a king. Yaassss! Exposed brick and wooden shutters were nice too! While there is a lovely grand staircase, there is a lift as well. Shower pressure was great and toiletries were very nice. There is a bidet also. There is no AC, but it was not needed at night even in August Our favorite part however was definitely relaxing by the pool, which was surrounded by gardenias! It smelled amazing out there!!! And the food! The food was basic, but delicious!! We hit up the breakfast buffet for 13.50 Euros an adult/ 6.60 a child. It included a variety of fresh squeezed juices including Valencia orange (obviously), freshly baked pastries, cured meats, cereals, espresso, fresh fruit, and my favorite part, a bread seasoning station! That bread station was the stuff my dreams are made of. It wasn't anything fancy, just excellent quality olive oil, balsamic and sea salt. The bread itself was divine, so was the baked apple and espresso. A wonderful stay!

Fine for a short stay, particularly on weekends when street parking is free, additional issues included a weak WiFi signal on upper floors and the sounds of revelers and tourists in the street below that echo up between narrow buildings.
