We were very happy with our stay at Hostal Venecia. The rooms were very large, clean, and comfortable. The location is right in center of Valencia and within easy walking distance to all the major sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

It had all the amenities you need when traveling internationally. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant the last night because I had an early AM flight. The bartender/server was friendly and the food was solid. I had the Iberian ham (1/2 size for one) and the beef entrecôte. The taste was good but not great....but better than most hotel restaurants. I'd definitely stay again while in Valencia. The

The service from start to finish was top tier and they did everything to make us feel welcome during our stay. We arrived around 1pm and we were able to get our room right away. The rooms here are massive. We had a king bed room, and it was more than enough space for two of us. With separate living room and bedroom area it was such an amazing place to rest after each day of exploring. The room feels a little bit on the older side, with the fan making a loud noise that we just got used to. There's not an electronic thermostat so we had to run the fan on max to keep the room cool. We didn't really use any of the amenities or the restaurant on-site because we wanted to explore the city with the 3 days we had here. They are renovating the gym, but they have a partnership with the gym across the street, which is available to use if you need it. Aside from the hotel, I think the location was perfect for us. We were a 20-minute walk in any direction from all the main sights and restaurants we wanted to explore. The hotel itself is quiet and far enough away from high traffic areas, so it was peaceful and serene throughout. Overall, loved our stay and honestly sad to leave because we loved Valencia and wish we had planned to stay more days here. Would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

We were upgraded to a room with a terrace which ended up having a high wall blocking any view... kind of like a prison yard. The breakfast and restaurant were fine, but not exceptional. I should have paid more attention to the previous comments about the considerable distance to the tourist areas/things you'd want to see and experience on a two day visit. Let's just say we got a lot of steps in over the course of two days. All in all, nothing terrible happened, but we had higher expectations for a five star Westin.

RUN FAR AWAY! If I could leave than 1 star I would. I stayed at this property over easter weekend…read moreand it was a DISASTER. At check-in I requested a room with AC and working wi-fi but neither one of those basics amenities were given to me. In my opinion, the worst is with the AC. Per the manager of the hotel after serval complaints in person and by phone call is that they do not have a functional AC per room. They set temperatures by why they see fit by chunks. Ex. I was on the 4th floor to the left of the elevator and the hallway and my room was blazing hot. Def over 88F. At their best solution was "open the windows and if its too cold (bcs outside it was cold and wet) we can offer you more blanket. I feel that this Hotel is a disgrace and is def deceitful by offering basic amenities of AC and not stating that is subject to "luck" of which area of the hotel your room is designated. Basically roll the dice to see if your room may be really cold or really warm.

We had a suite with a bedroom, living room bathroom. The window in the living room did not open but the one in the bedroom did. No USB outlets so we bought an electrical adapter with 3 USB plugs. They gave us 2 twin beds that were pushed together. The beds were very comfortable and firm. The water pressure was a bit low and the bath tub required you to raise your legs about 2 feet to enter. Not conducive for the elderly or handicapped. The entire suit had 1 trash can and no tissues. Pro Tip: The entrance has about 5 steps up so you need to use the elevator on the right side of the entrance to bring up your luggage. However, you need to enter the lobby and send the elevator down to the street level. Or you can ask the front desk clerk to help you with that. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were magnificent. A big shout out to Maria and Mariam in the lounge. Super friendly and professional. Each glass of wine comes with a tapas and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is $15/ person. Nothing special. Typical eggs, small array of hams and cheeses, some parries, bread and espresso/ coffee machines. I would save the $15 and spend it on better food outside the hotel. Overall very good experience. We would stay there again. Happy Traveling!!

The staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating -- truly on par with what I've experienced at the Waldorf in Rome and Amsterdam, and in some ways, even better. Our room was on the smaller side (a standard room), but it was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities were just right. What really set this stay apart was the attentiveness and warmth of the staff -- they made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect, tucked into a lovely part of Valencia with easy walking access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. When I return to Valencia, this will be one of the first hotels I check for availability. Highly recommended.

Specifically Chiara, she and the rest of the staff are continuously trying to deceive guests by vague pricing and vague descriptions of rooms. I was charged €184 for only a few pieces of laundry. Chiara literally told me it was my fault for not knowing the prices, even though they required a document to fill out for the laundry, because I didn't do it, they filled it out for me and charged me a ridiculous amount. Meanwhile as I'm arguing the charges, there's an older couple next to me that is arguing that they booked a room with a balcony, Chiara said to them that not all rooms have a balcony and even though it has a picture on the reservation doesn't mean they will get the room they want. This place will deceive you and cheat you out of money. Don't go.

The hotel staff is friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. The rooms: Fairly self service but they're a unique departure from your standard hotel room and are beautifully acclimated to the environment. No fridge or ice or vending, but it would be a disservice to have these amenities as it would conflict with the aesthetic. There is AC and plenty of markets around the corner for your needs. The location: Ideal. Literally around the corner from Plaza de Virgen but you'd never know it as the hotel itself is quiet and discretely tucked away. Great walking city so location is a must and I felt consistently that Ad Hoc Carmen was an ideal starting and ending place for seeing the most of the city. Hundreds of great restaurants - Pappardella was a favorite. The staff: Friendly and super helpful. Personalized experiences where they help you to make the most out of your time in Valencia. Firstly, the air conditioning in my room did not work. Not having AC in Spain is actually quite common, but they do have AC. The one in my room in particular just didn't work. Everything else is super meh. I'm not a fan and would never stay here again.
