It's absolutely gorgeous and has a great location in Puebla that is easy and convenient to get to everywhere in the Centro. Our room included a lovely continental breakfast too which had delicious breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, and yogurt. The room itself is very spacious with a luxurious bathroom. It has a good television you can access Netflix from. I do have a few things to mention though that you may not like: 1) Our room was very warm because it has big windows. I don't personally mind this but my mom did. 2) The beds are quite hard. They have mattress covers on them but it's definitely not a soft, melt into your bed kind of mattress. 3) It was VERY noisy because the hotel is right next to a few bars. It's not really their fault so I can't hold it against them, but on a Friday night the music was extremely loud until probably 2am. I was able to sleep through it but kept waking up. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the spot for you. 4) The room is quite dark. Regardless though I liked our stay at La Purificadora. There was great service, it's really pretty, and great location.

Rich in history and perfect in design, La…read morePurificadora is conveniently located in the center of the historic downtown action and tucked away on a pedestrian-only cobblestone street. No surprise, it's owned and run by the boutique hotel experts, Grupo Habita. I was impressed by the grand style; lots of high ceilings, a gorgeous library, an inviting open-air lobby area with fire pits, and the minimalist stylings of each room. Someone with clearly fine taste renovated this space from it's former 19th-century water purification factory usage. As for amenities, the restaurant offers contemporary Mexican cuisine and while I didn't really eat there, I fell in love with the artichokes. The large terrace boasts one of the coolest pools I've ever seen. It's like swimming in a long fish tank. Off to the other side of terrace, you'll find the giant jacuzzi and sauna. Best of all, there's a bar up there to enjoy after work drinks. There's also a gym, but this is just a treadmill (that was out of service), an exercise bike and a weight machine. Pretty bare bones. The room itself was gorgeous and the king bed was perfectly comfortable. I particularly loved the large shower and spaciousness of the room. Wifi worked well enough to answer emails, but not good enough to make Skype calls. Next time I find myself in Puebla, I'll definitely be staying here.

They offer a variety of different flavored water out near the lobby and also in the gym area and keep tea and coffee stocked in the computer lab as well as the lobby. They also sometimes have American style apples that they offer in the gym area. We were also offered nonalcoholic versions of some of their popular bar drinks near the pool to give you a sample with before you decide what drink you want to buy at the outside bar area. There is just the one outside pool however it was hardly used at all when we went and they keep the pool nice and warm at 28 degrees celcius or 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit which makes you feel warmer inside the water rather than outside the water. The gym was also decent, and like the pool, was empty with prestocked water bottles in the exercise machines. We were also impressed that they had a sauna area that you usually have to make reservations for but if there is no one there you can just ask for them to set it up for you. We will not hesitate to come here again while exploring Puebla.

We stayed in room 1809 which had incredible views. The room has a corner window, you have 180 deg view of the city. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our room leaked, on to our bed, last night, it was good the bed was so big we just slept on the dry side. We suggest showering at night since the water pressure could be a bit wonky.
