Hotel Room two beds
Sheldon G.

I was very excited to stay here knowing one of my favorite movies was filmed here"National Lampoons Vacation" but was very let down the first room we had had no TV remote so I was not able to watch TV in there, switched to the second room and that room was worse exposed flooring very unsafe for bare feet tv had horrible resolution, and the A/C was super loud unable to get a goods note rest and barley working, on my third switch room was on a third floor with no working elevator this room had non working outlets and non working lamps and full cable was not functioning on tv only 5 channels available luckily I have a iPad and iPhone. And before I checked out a housekeeper was very rude to me before my checkout time trying to pressure us to vacate the room way before check out. All and all would not recommend this hotel it's not in a safe area for kids or single older adults and security is much needed at note a lot of sketchy people lurking around dark parts of the hotel. It looked great in 1982 when the movie was filmed there but has lost its character and charm. Save your time and money and look elsewhere this is a honest genuine review.

The towels are super thin and cheap. The little hairs come off onto you when you use them. The soap they provide are so thin they break after one use. The beds don't have fitted sheets. They have regular sheets in the bottom of the bed that move everywhere when you move. The blankets are super thin. They are just pieces of material. They are not made with blanket material. Overall, this place sucks. They charged us $150 for nothing.

I saw the reviews after I booked it...I was very skeptical after I read everything people said about the hotel so I asked the receptionist (who was very kind) to show me the room before I check in and told her my concerns.... She did let me go inspect the room, the room was clean, no roaches, beds were OK not hard rock like other reviews said...the place it's not Hilton but hey for the price is a good place to rest, the nights were quite, no screaming, no music, really quite, maybe some crickets sound which I actually find it relaxing... I didn't get into the pool, there was hot water, no fridge in the room but I really didn't care, I was not about to eat there anyway, so I just use the hotel to sleep and nothing more...if you need it only for that it works fine. I came with no expectations and they even have some history in the hotel... it was good, check the rooms before get it. Don't let the reviews fool you Check the rooms

So our room was on the 3rd floor. As we returned to the elevator, we saw there's no buttons, and we had to look for the stairs to get down.

This place needs to be demolished and redone right. The employees are great, but the owners need to ask themselves, "Would they stay at a place with roaches and holes in the walls., stained floors, and rooms smelling like meldo and cigarettes?by the wa, they advertise refrigerators , but none if the rooms have theme. I hahad booked it for 5 nights but ended up staying for 8bhrs and I left.

This place should be fined in the millions for this shit.

This place is a shit hole. Roaches in the rooms, he bugs in the beds. Rooms are unclean in every aspect of the worst term for the word. The LA county health inspector need to visit this establishment asap. This place exceeds health code violations on every level. Do not start at this place, hopefully they will go put off business and be forced to close down permanently.

My room faced the freeway, so if traffic noise bothers you, I would recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the hotel. That said, the staff is what truly makes this property shine. They deserve 5 stars. Every interaction I had with the staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. They really went above and beyond and made my stay better than it otherwise would have been. If I'm back in the area, I would definitely consider staying here again, primarily because of the outstanding staff.

The staff here is very nice- the've got those great, warm cookies waiting for you whenever you want them, which really goes a long way after a busy day. The room itself was very average. One of my biggest callouts was no matter how many lights I had on, it never felt bright enough, and the TV channel selection was underwhelming. The gym facilities were better than expected with lots of natural light and good equipment, although, they could've used more exercise mats. My status gave me an $18 credit to use at the conscience store. The stock was rather odd with very little consistency. I would usually get some gum, water, cereal, but then they would have no milk. Once I tried the fresh fruit cup. Worst fresh fruit I'd ever had in my life. This area definitely needs work. Despite the inconsistencies, I feel like this hotel does try, and while the building is quite worn, I think it makes up for it with friendly service, better than average gym and parking & delicious cookies on demand.

We paid approximately $570 for two nights and arrived from Las Vegas around 11:30 p.m. with three adults and three children, including two toddlers. One adult was recovering from ACL and meniscus surgery. The front desk gave us a working key to someone else's occupied room. We opened the door to find guests sleeping inside. If they could give us access to another guest's room, how could we feel secure in ours? They then offered us a king-bed room, let us accept it and wait approximately 20 minutes, and announced that it wasn't available either. Our paid reservation apparently meant nothing. We had already awakened our sleeping children, gotten them out of the cars, and unloaded three strollers, luggage, and belongings. We then had to load everything--and our exhausted children--back into the cars and drive to another property while our family member recovering from surgery endured increasing pain. Their supposed "sister hotel" turned out to be a motel with no suite, no breakfast, and dead bugs throughout the room. Photos are attached. Our arrival wasn't properly confirmed, and the paperwork contradicted itself about who would pay. We reached the room around 2 a.m., but our children were so unsettled by the ordeal that they did not settle back down until 4 a.m. The entire reason for this trip was my dad's meeting near the original hotel. From the replacement location, it took him two hours to get there with traffic. After putting our family through all of this, offering free parking was insulting. We are requesting a full refund, reimbursement of additional expenses, and meaningful compensation. This was exhausting, frightening, and completely unacceptable

Check in was at 1pm but we had told her we'd be late due to the Saddleridge brushfire and she was totally fine with it. There is a $40 deposit, but you get it back once you check out. When we arrived in our room, it was decent, and cleaned. It was definitely perfect for my family of 6. We had no problems whatsoever. I was lucky enough to find this place because all of the other hotels were fully booked and were ridiculously overpriced. If we were to spend our weekend in LA again, I would book this place again.

My stay at the Norwalk Inn Motel was a mixed experience…read more Upon our arrival, the front desk attendant was courteous and accommodating. Although she was somewhat difficult to hear during the transaction, she facilitated a smooth and efficient check-in process, and her professionalism was appreciated. Regrettably, the checkout experience significantly altered my overall impression of the property. Our stay lasted two nights, with a scheduled checkout time of 11:00 a.m. We were running slightly behind while gathering our belongings. Rather than receiving a courteous reminder that checkout time had passed, a staff member approached our door and knocked loudly in a manner that was abrupt and alarming. Upon opening the door, she immediately began speaking in a raised and forceful tone, repeatedly instructing us to hurry and vacate the room. We calmly explained that we were nearly finished and required only a few additional minutes. Instead of allowing us to complete our preparations, she continued to raise her voice. When we requested that she moderate her tone, she denied being discourteous while continuing to speak loudly. She then placed her foot in the doorway and entered the room while we were still present and in the process of collecting our belongings. Additionally, she remained outside the room, observing us until we departed. This interaction caused considerable discomfort and a sense of intimidation. After completing the checkout process and proceeding to the front desk, we discovered that the same employee was now attending to guests there. She processed the return of our cash deposit; however, the procedure took an unusually long time. When we politely requested her name, she appeared reluctant and responded with visible irritation. As the situation continued to escalate, I began recording the interaction on my phone. In response, she also began recording and became increasingly confrontational. As we exited the property, she followed us outside, continued speaking loudly, and repeatedly stated that she intended to report us. I fully acknowledge that hotels maintain checkout policies and that guests are expected to adhere to them. While a brief delay on our part may have warranted a reminder or even a late checkout fee, the manner in which the situation was handled was inappropriate. Being addressed in an aggressive tone, having a staff member enter our room without consent while we were still present, being monitored as we gathered our belongings, and experiencing continued confrontation at both the front desk and outside the premises were all unacceptable. What began as a pleasant stay concluded with one of the most unprofessional checkout experiences I have encountered. I respectfully encourage management to review any available security footage from the hallway and front desk, address the conduct of the employee involved, and consider implementing additional customer service training. All guests should be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect, regardless of minor delays during checkout.
