This is one of the best hotel pools I've ever been in (minus Vegas hotels). I loved the cool modern color-changing lighting not only above the pool, but also inside the hot tub! There was a lounger bed-type seating in the pool with jets and two cascading waterfalls. Plus, there was a steam room and a sauna. They provide robes and sandals as well. The pool was heated too, which was awesome, but the hot tub definitely could have been warmer. Our room was nice too, complete with a fridge, microwave and even a stove top! We had brought our dinner back to the room, so it was perfect! We had silverware provided and there was even placemats! The staff were helpful and spoke English. The bartender even opened up a bottle of wine we had brought back to the hotel.

Staff are attentive without being intrusive multi-lingual and helpful when asked. The rooms are tastefully appointed with lots of nice touches like complimentary slippers, green water and toiletries, and an espresso cup machine and both sparkling and spring water bottles chilling in the mini fridge when you arrive.

I go to the Basel Watch show every year, this is my third year staying here, always a great…read moreexperience. Free wifi and it's fast! Free breakfast every day. The rates are the best I have seen around. The hotel is a bit far from Basel, maybe around an hour by train. But definitely worth the trip if you compare prices to Basel hotels which start at $350 a night.
