This hotel feels like you are taking a trip to your grandma's. Let's start with the good. Front desk staff are pleasant and breakfast is good. Guests have access to coffee, tea and juice at their convenience and there are desserts in the evening. There is a small bar with beers on draft. Parking is free. Otherwise the rooms are a little dated. There are actual keys to get into rooms and the mattresses are thin and pilows are lumpy. Probably old style architecture, but there was a 3-4 inch high divider between the bathroom and the bedroom that I kept forgetting was there, so I perpetually stubbed my toes. No nightstands so we kept our phones and glasses on the sketchy looking thin carpet. Heating comes from an old wall radiator that kept us warm enough...but the heat didn't reach the bathroom so my toosh received an icy surprise each morning. My dad loved the old style feel. My husband and I were less impressed. In February came out to $150/night. Probably could have gotten a better deal somewhere else. read more
