This is an excellent 2 star hotel. Wonderfully located close to Cite University and next to a beautiful park. Clean and pleasant. Not fancy, but as good as a 2 star hotel in Paris will be. read more

And I've typed this whole thing and no one has come over. That's about it.

Rooms were clean enough, but not much in the way of space. Showers have a glass wall but not a full door so be careful when you shower otherwise the floor will get very wet. There is a hair dryer but it sounds more like a vacuum. Walls are thin so be mindful of how much noise you make and maybe bring some earplugs for the noise you can't control. Closest metro is about a 10 minute walk, but Uber will pick up and drop off at the front door. Make sure you bring your own power outlet adapter because if you're not from Europe you're going to need it. Staff is friendly and helpful with answering questions or getting you what you need. If you need something put in a safe they can do that for a fee.

I didn't want to pay $550/night for a dirty, shoebox sized room, so I decided to stay a little further out, the RER B metro line was very close, took me directly to and from the cdg airport, the area felt very safe and clean. With two metro lines so close, it was super easy and inexpensive to go into the city. One night I stayed out a little too late and had to take an uber back to the hotel, it only cost me about $15 euros, not bad at all.

Upon arrival we checked in and were placed in two rooms. One room had a horrible smell we could not get rid of, even with windows open and spraying room freshener. It came back, so we had to be moved. The other room had an odor too but the front desk stated no other rooms available until the next day. Staff at desk was pretty rude about it too, guess he needed a nap. The next day, day time staff was happy to move the other room. That evening after touring the city, we got back to the hotel and prepared to rest for the night. The rooms were cleaned but there were no clean towels and the staff took the ones we hung up. The TV changed from English to French suddenly, even though it was English all day and night the night before. Night time staff guy was rude about it, said they would send a technician in 15-20 minutes about it and no one came to correct the issues. The next day, which is today we reported the issues and explained the night staff problems, they said that sometimes happens with the TV and a technician would have to reset it. Cleaning staff provided the fresh towels but the TV was never fixed. This evening when we returned after all day touring the city, the TV was still not fixed. When front desk was asked the gentleman rudely stated the TV is not in English and won't be in English because we are French. There's also no YouTube or Netflix. I explained the Tv was working in English before and he repeated the same thing again. The daytime staff, as well as HE HIMSELF, had stated previously that this happens sometimes but now he was just being mean. Of course we check out tomorrow but myself and may other guests have stated we will not be returning. The bar is RARELY staffed, the night time staff, which is who most of us will deal with since Paris shuts down fairly early is horrible and the hotel definitely needs updates. No food here, everywhere closes early and clearly so does the hotel staff. If you can find somewhere else, try that. Thanks

Had a bed bug crawl up towards my pillow during my first year anniversary, while watching a movie!…read more I took a video of the bug and flushed it into the toilet. I let management know and they moved us to the next room over on the same floor. In the next room, I already got bitten when I woke up the next morning. There could have been other bed bugs at large. In hindsight, I should have left and gone to an Air Bnb or a Mariott. I asked for two nights off the bill but was denied. I asked for a credit for a future stay. Request was also denied. Management said they found one dead insect and said both rooms were treated and guests have been ok. How do we know if the dead insect was a bed bug or another insect? No picture of the dead insect was provided. An excellent service would have been an action behind an apology like discounting 2 night's stay or at least a future credit stay, like I requested. The hotel management had the audacity to blame me for possibly bringing in the insect into the hotel as an excuse to deny the discount. I am assuming the hotel did not want my business. I ended up making a claim and furnished the pictures below to Mastercard and they reimbursed me 2 nights stay as I requested. Even Motel 6, a 3 star motel in the United States, took off 1 night stay when I reported bed bugs and showed a video of the bug. I stayed at this hotel because the year before, my friend stayed and had no problems. With a lack of empathy by management, customer service is at a disconnect. Look elsewhere, unless you are traveling alone and know how to spot for bed bugs. If you feel that bed bugs have come with you back home, consider pest control that super heats your dwelling to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the most effective way to eradicate them. Fog bombs don't do well since bed bugs can even hide inside a computer, inside wall cracks, electric sockets, and T.V.s. Furthermore, the room temperature was cold. I tried setting the temperature warm but had cool draft still blowing. We had to wrap blankets and huddle together to stay warm.

Tons of USB plugs for all of our devices, and a surprisingly large bathroom, especially for a European hotel. I totally loved the place and will definitely return if ever back in Paris.

It's located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Basically, near the Chinatown area. I loved this area and will give so many great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is small but nice and not far from the metro or public transportation (although I chose to use Uber instead). Uber was quick and not too expensive for a short trip to get to the tourist spots such as Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc. if you're going back and forth often, it's probably best to look into the metro. The staff was friendly and spoke English very well. The rooms were small with very limited closet/drawer space. The bathroom was a decent size. It was tight for two people so a long weekend was the max amount of time for me. I hate living out of a suitcase on vacation. The free breakfast was ok. Very limited- hard boiled eggs, salad, meats/cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. The croissants were to die for. Maybe even better than the bakery down the street. We had to leave at 5am for our flight home and the staff gave us a bag of croissants to go since the breakfast doesn't start until 6:30am. So nice!!! The hotel seemed to almost shut down on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant was closed (except the free breakfast). We don't eat at the hotel anyway but the option for an evening cocktail would have been nice since the hotel was off the beaten path. We didn't get housekeeping on Sunday. But we were able to get towels and toilet paper from the front desk. They were very tight with those items lol. I loved the area but I don't mind exploring. Within a mile and a half walk you can find some amazing restaurants and shops. If you turn right from the hotel, there are two really good Italian restaurants. If you turn left, you'll find the Chinatown area and also a local neighborhood. We found a cute wine cellar where you can buy bottles to go or sit and enjoy by the glass or bottle.
