A restroom area in the lobby was sufficient for a quick change a to freshen up as well. There is a small market inside that sells food, alcohol and sweets. Right across the street is a mall and a lot of eating options. You can arrive here by B Train (Laplace) or M4 (Barbara) and both are a 10-15 min walk depending on your speed. Moderately quiet, some ambulance sirens here and there. The room was clean with electric kettle, refrigerator, and espresso machine. My favorite part was the breakfast. Many options with cold cuts, bacon, eggs, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee options, cheese, cereals, etc. Everything was quite tasty. Be aware that this location is about 45-60 mins south of Paris' heart by metro. It's easy though. One can take one or two lines to get where you need to without problem. For three days, we were able to use the ten ticket metro/bus/train per person. Also know that metro B's Paris ticket does NOT count since it's outside of Paris; the M4 line DOES work.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pics. I happened to be in Paris during a big fashion event so…read morelocal hotels were anywhere between $1,000-$2,000/night. I didn't want to pay $550/night for a dirty, shoebox sized room, so I decided to stay a little further out, the RER B metro line was very close, took me directly to and from the cdg airport, the area felt very safe and clean. With two metro lines so close, it was super easy and inexpensive to go into the city. One night I stayed out a little too late and had to take an uber back to the hotel, it only cost me about $15 euros, not bad at all.

Had a bed bug crawl up towards my pillow during my first year anniversary, while watching a movie!…read more I took a video of the bug and flushed it into the toilet. I let management know and they moved us to the next room over on the same floor. In the next room, I already got bitten when I woke up the next morning. There could have been other bed bugs at large. In hindsight, I should have left and gone to an Air Bnb or a Mariott. I asked for two nights off the bill but was denied. I asked for a credit for a future stay. Request was also denied. Management said they found one dead insect and said both rooms were treated and guests have been ok. How do we know if the dead insect was a bed bug or another insect? No picture of the dead insect was provided. An excellent service would have been an action behind an apology like discounting 2 night's stay or at least a future credit stay, like I requested. The hotel management had the audacity to blame me for possibly bringing in the insect into the hotel as an excuse to deny the discount. I am assuming the hotel did not want my business. I ended up making a claim and furnished the pictures below to Mastercard and they reimbursed me 2 nights stay as I requested. Even Motel 6, a 3 star motel in the United States, took off 1 night stay when I reported bed bugs and showed a video of the bug. I stayed at this hotel because the year before, my friend stayed and had no problems. With a lack of empathy by management, customer service is at a disconnect. Look elsewhere, unless you are traveling alone and know how to spot for bed bugs. If you feel that bed bugs have come with you back home, consider pest control that super heats your dwelling to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the most effective way to eradicate them. Fog bombs don't do well since bed bugs can even hide inside a computer, inside wall cracks, electric sockets, and T.V.s. Furthermore, the room temperature was cold. I tried setting the temperature warm but had cool draft still blowing. We had to wrap blankets and huddle together to stay warm.

Enjoyed my stay with the kids. Nice accommodations. Good breakfast. Close to the subway. I would…read morecome back.

Yes, I went to Paris for a quick weekend trip so decided to go on a lower budget. I'm giving this…read more4 stars based on my experience and the fact that the hotel is not in a touristy area. It's located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Basically, near the Chinatown area. I loved this area and will give so many great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is small but nice and not far from the metro or public transportation (although I chose to use Uber instead). Uber was quick and not too expensive for a short trip to get to the tourist spots such as Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc. if you're going back and forth often, it's probably best to look into the metro. The staff was friendly and spoke English very well. The rooms were small with very limited closet/drawer space. The bathroom was a decent size. It was tight for two people so a long weekend was the max amount of time for me. I hate living out of a suitcase on vacation. The free breakfast was ok. Very limited- hard boiled eggs, salad, meats/cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. The croissants were to die for. Maybe even better than the bakery down the street. We had to leave at 5am for our flight home and the staff gave us a bag of croissants to go since the breakfast doesn't start until 6:30am. So nice!!! The hotel seemed to almost shut down on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant was closed (except the free breakfast). We don't eat at the hotel anyway but the option for an evening cocktail would have been nice since the hotel was off the beaten path. We didn't get housekeeping on Sunday. But we were able to get towels and toilet paper from the front desk. They were very tight with those items lol. I loved the area but I don't mind exploring. Within a mile and a half walk you can find some amazing restaurants and shops. If you turn right from the hotel, there are two really good Italian restaurants. If you turn left, you'll find the Chinatown area and also a local neighborhood. We found a cute wine cellar where you can buy bottles to go or sit and enjoy by the glass or bottle.

Earth friendly economy lodging…read more Most amenities in this hotel show commitment to better our planet. There are no more plastic water bottles in the hotel, rather cold still water and sparkling water on tap in the lobby, where you can refill your container or grab a glass, for free. Access to floors and rooms is with bamboo-made magnetic cards , very stylish. There are also 4 automatic coffee machines where one can help oneself to cappuccinos, mochas, single and double espressos, americanos, etc. Free breakfast included croissants , chocolate croissants, cold meats, yogurt, fruits , cheeses , cereal , eggs you can boil at your own taste and more. From 6:30am to 8:00am is the best time to get it, after that, it gets busier until 10:00 am when it's removed. ROOM AMENITIES There were eight European type-C 200V outlets across the room and 2 USB outlets by one side of the main bed. When we arrived, the sofa beds were already converted to beds and made; we thought of this as a very nice and smart gesture, considering that many hotels we've stayed at have sofa-beds with missing linens and we have to do the work. The bathroom is a minimalist expression of a bathroom: Curtains or sliding door is missing from the shower so after showering you'll notice a bit of water that needs to be wiped off, just for your own safety. Toilet, shower and sink are all in the bathroom and there was no lock in the room we got. Blame the jet-lag or not, the IKEA-type simple beds were very comfy! It just would have been nice to have light sheets during one warm night, instead of just the thick covers. There was no safe in the room and only one safe for the whole hotel, operated by the manager. Apparently they haven't had an incident "ever" and we didn't experience anything either, leaving valuables such as passports, electronics, home keys , etc. AROUND THE HOTEL Excellent location: Walking distance from about 20 different restaurants as well as the Port D'Italie Metro and Bus station, where you can easily and inexpensively find transport.Oh, and very close to Paris' interior circuit Boulevard Périphérique Intérieur, in case of driving around. Considering the €125 nightly rate for a room that can host 6 people that can be fed breakfast everyday, I'd say it's a great deal. #ruizmedina
