First time in Venice and with many options for hotels, I chose this one as a shot in the dark and it did not disappoint. What a gem of of hotel the Pazzo Priuli is. Staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The hotel smells wonderful and it was very inviting. Tucked away off St. Marks Square, it was easy to find, and close to some great restaurants.
Room: Double bed was a king (you never know if you'll get a true double or a king so it was a nice surprise), not super soft but comfortable enough for me and I'm picky. I slept like a rock. We had a view of the canal outside of the room which was so very cool.
The bathroom was super nice and didn't look like it had ever been used. The glass was squeaky clean.
Pro tip: follow the directions from the hotel to get there. This was our path, take the #1 water bus from the train station, to the San Zaccaria stop just past St Marks Square. Short little walk, (only one bridge to cross of you go a certain way). Once you cross that little bridge, Hotel Palazzo Priuli will be on your left HOWEVER, go to the Hotel Palazzo Lorenzo to check in. There is a sign at the Priuli but it was a bit confusing. They have cameras because a staff member saw us and took us to the correct place. Checking in was a breeze and the staff was so kind in recommending places.
We got the package with breakfast included. We had two timing options for breakfast seating. We chose the later and went at 930. It was just down the walkway a bit at the Luna Sentada Cafe. They had a little menu for us and just needed our room number. Breakfast was delicious!!
Not sure why this place has no reviews but hopefully, this will help you decide to give it a try. We will definitely be back! read more
