This was our first visit to Hotel Metro. We decided to visit London on a whim and after reading reviews on another site, we thought this sounded like a place we'd enjoy. Well I have to say that were certainly were not disappointed! The hotel location is perfect as it's right downtown London immediately across from Covent Garden Market and only a block from Budweiser Gardens. It's also steps away from lots of restaurants, bars and cafés. There is no parking at the hotel, but the underground parking at Covent Garden Market is right across the street and is $13 per day. A tip we got from the front desk staff is to say you lost your parking ticket and you'll only be charged for one day. We were greeted by 2 front desk staff who were both extremely friendly, talkative and helpful. We were thrilled when we saw our room. It was large, clean and had a very contemporary decor. Room amenities included a Keurig coffeemaker, LCD TV, bar fridge, soaker tub and shower. The shower and tub are in the same room as the bedroom and the toilet has its own little room. This was fine for us as we're a couple, but might be awkward for some. We weren't able to find an ice machine in the hotel, but to be honest we weren't actively looking for one. The lobby/entrance area has complimentary fruit-infused water and a machine with many specialty drinks such as hot chocolate and a variety of teas and coffee beverages. Wifi is also provided for free. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel and will most definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Hotel Metro follows the trend of upscale "boutique" hotels that offer touches of luxury at lower prices. The black and white decor here is ultra-modern with touches of brushed stainless steel and glass. It's very striking in photographs, but lacks a sense of warmth I prefer in other hotels. The service here was exceptionally good - staff are very professional, friendly and efficient. I think this was the best aspect of my stay here. I also liked the Aveda and Starbucks products stocked in each room and the bathrobes...although they should consider providing slippers too. The bed here was extremely comfortable, but unfortunately the second-floor room faced Dundas street, so the noise outside made it difficult to sleep much. The JLC and local bar scene late at night and early-morning buses are all fairly noisy. Keep this in mind if you're a light sleeper - there are rooms facing market lane which might be a bit quieter. There are no bar fridges in the rooms here, although staff can bring you a bucket of ice to keep food/drinks cool. I like to travel with my own food and drinks, so this was a bit of a drawback.

Curtain to our "window"...which is actually a locked door!!!

Don't stay here. We just checked in. We have no windows in our room...just curtains. Even better...we don't have a phone. If there is a fire in this building we honestly have no hope. In addition, we spent $200 to stay here. The front desk guy won't let us change rooms because we booked the hotel room only 2 days ago...knowing we are in town for a funeral. Oh also...our "queen" bed is a double sized Murphy bed. I signed up for yelp just to write this review to make sure nobody reading this will waste there money. As I'm writing this my wife just found a bunch of hair clips in our bed. You can't make this stuff up.

Part of…read morethe main building is the original armoury, but the tower where most of the rooms are, is newer construction. We were on the 15th floor and the view of the city was pretty. The elevator is part glass, so you can see the atrium as you go up. The aesthetics of the room is definitely nicer than your average 2-3 star hotel. It's of course more expensive than those types of hotels though. We paid around $260 a night. This included $15 a day for parking and a $50 credit for breakfast either through room service or at their restaurant. The paid parking is in a separate lot, not far from the hotel, but not connected to the hotel. There are not a lot of spots, so although you have in and out privileges, I don't know what happens if when you return, if all the spots are filled. This did not happen to us, but I could see how it could happen to people. Since our stay was during the Covid-19 Pandemic (not our preferred time to travel, but our journey was ultimately for an interment), we opted to get room service for our breakfast instead of dining in the restaurant. Like I mentioned earlier, our room package included a $50 credit for breakfast. My husband and I each got the Steak and Eggs Benedict (he got his steak medium, and I got mine medium well) ($17 each), freshly squeezed orange juice ($6.50 a glass) and my husband got a coffee ($2.50). There is an additional $8.95 room service charge. The food was actually quite good, but pricey if you are paying the menu price. The hotel is located downtown. Like with many downtowns there was a high concentration of transient people in the area. There is a homeless shelter not far away. My husband really liked the hotel. I admit that it is beautiful, but I personally prefer to stay outside of the downtown core, where it is cheaper and there is ample free parking, when I am traveling by car. If I was coming in by train (the hotel is really close to the train station) and didn't have a car for my visit, then perhaps staying in the downtown core would make more sense. Of note, their shampoo and conditioner smells really nice, lol.

There were white stains and debris on the floor, dust on the headboard, lamps and table. The bathtub was peeling and dusty. This is not a 4 star hotel. We informed the front desk and they moved us across the hall. The 2nd room they moved us to was slightly better but still not a 4 star hotel by any means. The rooms are dingy, dusty and feel unclean. When we told the front desk they just apologized and left it at that. The pictures make it look much better than it is. I did notice the good reviews are for the rooms on the higher floors. Even with paying for the higher room rate I ended up on the second floor where it seems they need updates. We stayed in the Delta Toronto the night prior and it was nothing like this location.

We have never eaten dragonfruits for brunch at any hotel before! So exotic! We ate so many slices. Service was a collective team effort and everyone was welcoming, attentive and super friendly. I can tell that they all enjoyed working there from their seemingly genuine smiles and bubbly personalities! The food there was so good!! Everything was cooked to perfection! We had their prix Fixe Easter brunch special and it was worth every dollar!! What a beautiful way to celebrate both Easter and my beau's birthday!! My beau was so impressed and thankful of me for booking and paying for brunch here that he is planning to treat me here next year for his not so surprising proposal!!! When the staff knew of his plans, the receptionist immediately gave us a tour of their suites and amenities!! What excellent and attentive service!! I will definitely come back here in the near future for a couple retreat or weekend getaway!! Stratford is such a cute town with so many good restaurants and hotels open during their famous and busy Stratford Festival season, but this hotel and restaurant really stood out to the both of us!! 5/5 would highly recommend!!

My friend and I arrived a bit earlier than we'd initially indicated, but both Kevin and Kim were welcoming and helpful. We were shown to a reasonable sized room on the second floor and all necessary amenities were explained to us. The decor of the place wasn't really my cup of tea, but the room was clean and cozy, so I can put aside my own personal aesthetic. The private bathroom was a decent size and well laid out. The bed was a wee bit smaller than I'd imagined, but it was very comfortable. My favourite part of my stay though hands down had to be my breakfast! Because Kevin and Kim knew we had an early start, they got breakfast going extra early for us. We started with freshly baked croissants, lemon poppy seed cake, and assorted fresh berries. DEELISH! Then we had poached eggs with hollandaise sauce with heirloom tomato on a wonderfully salty rosti. SO SO GOOD!!! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the splash of pesto on the tomato added a perfect kick. I was in heaven. I love coming to Stratford to see the theatre. Next year, I am totally coming back here, but I am going to make sure that I have dinner at the Old Rectory too!

Comfortable stay is all I can say…read more Sheraton Four Points is a hotel in south London Ont that also doubles as a conference centre. It's immediately clear with the signage and multiple conference room doors in the large main lobby. The room we stayed at was comfortable and refreshed. The beds and pillows were of the right firmness and the room felt spacious very clean. The 4K TV had options to connect to YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video if you had an account. The room was relatively quiet during our stay. Microwave was available in the cupboard. One bottled water was stocked in the room but we were able to ask for more from the front desk. For amenities, the hotel has a large swimming pool, without hot spa. Fitness room contains typical treadmills, gym machine and dumbbells. There is also a games room with a foosball table, arcade games for quarter play and a claw machine. These show signs of the hotel age. One drawback is that there is no complementary breakfast. That said, they have a 24h automated coffee machine that made tasty latte and hot chocolate. Plus there are many local and fast food restaurants nearby just beside the Hwy 401 exit. Also, the bathtub floor was quite slippery. Skip it or hit it? This is a solid mid-tier hotel pick.

Trying to connect with the card issuer since the weekend (5 days ago) and still no luck. Not exactly the hotel's fault but to select such a issuer is the hotel's and London Tourism fault. Wonder if they test the card before selecting them.
