It was an amazing experience and we loved that this was our home to start our honeymoon. Prior to our stay, my wife was provided with many recommendations by Ida from their Booking department/front desk team. Since it was our first time in Italy and at this hotel it was nice to have some insight on what to do while there. Vico Equense/Seiano was our base to get to Sorrento for different day trip activities we had while there. Annalisa was extremely polite and helpful when we checked in. She was our first contact upon arriving and she was so nice. She set the tone for all of the front desk agents and staff that we had the pleasure of meeting while there. She gave us an initial tour of the property and showed us to our room. We had a Classic Double Room which had a nice view of Vico Equense from one window and small balcony with a view of Mt. Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The room was nice, clean, and, comfortable. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco, note, and some sweets to celebrate the occasion. Each morning we had breakfast on the beautiful terrace and were greeted by the Giovanni and wonderful team at L'Accanto. The view, food, and service at this Michelin star restaurant were excellent. Breakfast was included with our stay and the attentive staff and presentation of the food from morning to night make me want to return. Just know that for dinner you must wear pants. I had no problem with Overall, we loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Each day we were helped by the wonderful front desk team. We want to thank Annalisa, Ida, Adriana, Emanuela, and Gennaro for always being there to answer any questions, greet us with a smile, sell us train tickets, or help us in reserving the shuttle to the Seiano train station. They were all so attentive and pleasant to my wife and me. We had day trips 3 of the 4 days at the hotel and I feel like each morning we were asking them for help, and they obliged. After the long days it was always great to return to the hotel where they were there to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

A complete jewel of a hotel!…read more I truly did not want to leave this place. It's beautiful, unique, boasts magnificent views, and the staff is exceptional. From the second we stepped onto the grounds they were nothing but helpful and truly warm. And it was clear that their mannerisms weren't contrived efforts. They had to have had the most helpful concierge that I've ever come across because we wanted for absolutely nothing. They arranged travel tickets, a car service, luggage storage... our stay couldn't have been easier or more relaxing. And I loved the welcome gifts that were in the room... along with the mini bar :D Having breakfast out on the terrace was serene and the best part of the day for me. The spread was varied, delicious, and laid out in an elegant fashion. I've gotta say that the self-serve mimosa table brought me immense joy, lol. Dinner at the restaurant was first rate with some beautiful wines and a perfectly paced meal that was followed by drinks in a little recessed bar with a lookout over the outdoor pool. It was a fantastic stay and I'm very much looking forward to visiting again.

I wasn't sure at first as it was not in Sorrento.. but I can't feel lucky enough after staying a few nights here. It's right at the sea/beach so I hear sea wave every morning which was soothing... and the entire sea view from my window/balcony. The best part of this hotel is (like others say) the staff and ambiance. Everyone is friendly and makes me feel I was well taken care of... I had hard time right before the trip so I came alone and I never felt alone here. Most guests are with a group or family but having dinner alone at the hotel (half-board) was no problem as all servers look after me by being friendly and smiley. Around 9 pm (after dinner time), the hotel plays live-music. Actually it was right below my room so I thought it would bother me after the 1st night but it was the opposite. Yes, it's a bit loud but all music are old-pop or something you are familiar with and they play/sing very well.. it was actually very nice to hear all those music while I was resting at night in my room. Hotel food was very good and room was spacious (only shampoo and soap provided FYI) and there is a mini-fridge if you want to keep something cool. I had to take 6:40 am airport bus from meta church to Napoli airport and the hotel prepared a bag of pastries, water and some crackers for breakfast-takeaway. It was my first time traveling alone and Alimuri made it the best trip of my life. I can't wait to go back!! Thank you!

The beach was nice to have but it was difficult to find a spot to sun bathe with there being very few chairs and all of the locals. The breakfast buffet in the morning was average. Coffee was good. The people working the front desk were a bit unapproachable if you didn't speak Italian. Our room had a jacuzzi which was the best part. The day trip to Capri that was through the hotel was very very good. The worst part about the place was that it they don't give you the sense that they care about your experience. They care about the head count more than the quality of your stay. If I could do it over it again I would stay closer to downtown at a hotel with more of a reputation.

Dash was an excellent server and very attentive. The snacks they gave with our cocktails were also delicious. The cocktails were good. Of note, in Italy, cocktails are just basic mixed drinks but they were still well made and tasted delicious so that's what matters. They also had an extensive cocktail list which was nice as most of the Amalfi Coast doesn't have an extensive cocktail list. The view here is gorgeous. It is a really nice romantic place or also just a place to watch the sky change colors as the sun goes down. It's a phenomenal view.

Service was top notch, the owners constantly said hi to every single one of their guests and everything was ...just magnificent. We got a free upgrade the first night to a suite, beautiful balcony views and large room! They moved our luggage the following night to our reserved room and I loved our view there as well. We dined at Il Tridente the first night and food was superb! Make sure you try their deliza limone! I will never forget my days here and Hotel Poseidon topped it off with a relaxing, beautiful and comfortable stay. They made us feel like family :)

This beautiful property has all you'd expect for a comfortable, luxurious and relaxing vacation on the Amalfi coast. Regardless where you stay at, I actually highly recommend renting a car being on the coast. There's parking garages in all the major towns (Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento) and you can explore so much more. It'll make getting here a lot easier too. This location is actually very close to Sorrento city center, and driving here is a breeze. There's ample free parking available, and the rooms are tidy and clean. The marble floors are dust free and the bedding and mattress are extremely comfortable. They provide breakfast for free with a freshly grounded coffee made by Danilo and a customizable omelette made by Gaetano. There are also a variety of other pastries, yogurt and cereal along with a variety of fresh juices. Reading past negative reviews of the breakfast shows they really stepped it up by a long shot. There's really no details they missed here. Everything on the property is amazing. Being up so high on the coast, you can relax in the hot tub and soak up the beautiful skyline of the sea, or take a dip in the pool. In 15 minutes you're in Sorrento, in 25 minutes you're in Positano. You really cannot expect much more, and the family here knocks it out of the park. We will truly miss this special place, and the three brothers and family who run this place. They will treat you like family and we will definitely be back. No other experience in Italy on our trip has held a candle to what this place and the Amalfi Coast has shown us. Grazie, arrivederci

Danilo, Gaetano and Angelo all have a hand in running this expansive property along with their mother Rosa who is the master chef whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen each night. They put on cooking classes, raise chickens for fresh eggs, have a pool overlooking their beautiful vistas and will soon finish a terrazzo to hold outdoor events. The property is perfectly situated. On paper it looks far from Sorrento but really it's not and the 15 minute drive is worth every minute because La Villa is on one of the highest points on the peninsula and the vistas are UNBELIEVABLE. Personally I loved the curvy hairpin drive up and down, but if that's not your speed, the hosts will shuttle you around for very reasonable rates. I can't say enough about how great our stay was... The hotel faces the hill side filled with homes and churches and also looks out to the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvias. It is an easy walk to the beach - though the beach isn't very happening after the summer time. On our first day, we got a regular standard room with a balcony facing the town. It faced the gas station and the train station. It was a clean room but super noisy because of where the room was situated. It was in between rooms and I could hear doors slamming and neighbors talking. If you are sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend getting this room. We changed rooms the next day and they gave us one that was tucked in the corner and not sandwiched in between rooms. The sound situation was much better and I slept so much better the next night. I happened to pass the ocean view room during house keeping and saw the beautiful view. We asked the front desk to upgrade and paid the extra fees. It was a spectacular room. If this room is available, I highly recommend getting it. It faces out to the ocean and it is pretty big. The bathroom is pretty large too. I loved the patio area where it faces the bay. You get a pretty amazing view. The breakfast every morning was very nice. They had plenty of food and a good selection. The front desk people were all very very nice. They tried to accommodate us to the best that they could. It would be a five star hotel in my book but the noise factor was a problem for me. I highly recommend staying here.
