The associate checking me in was professional, informative and speedy. Our room was as requested, two twin beds separated. We could get free parking on the street as space available allows but I opted for the parking garage for €9 per night. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. It was very good. In the older building, our room was always hot. My parents were in the honeymoon suite. There AC was set to shut off at night no matter what the guest wanted. My parents woke up sweating and couldn't figure out why the AC wouldn't turn on! 2- My room wasn't cleaned until 4pm when I called the front desk for a second time. 3- The elevator broke and we had to walk regularly up and down four flights of stairs, six if we went to the car. For 280+ a night, skip it!

In fact the restaurant is also fantastic for dinner. Our room was very quiet even though we faced the Main Street. The bathroom finishes are modern --hot water delivers immediately out of the rain shower head. The toilet area is totally separate from the tub/ shower/ sink area. The bedroom has main lighting then reading lights above each side of the bed. There is also a mini fridge, safe and large closet/ drawer area. We didn't have time to visit the spa...next trip!

It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the main town but I actually enjoyed being slightly outside of the busy area. The neighborhood is quiet but still central with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Felt very safe. HOTEL: I stayed here for 3 nights and would return again. It was well priced and had all the amenities I needed, including free parking. They even had the option for some spa treatments, but I unfortunately didn't have time to take advantage of them - Next time! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and spoke some English. RESTAURANT: I came to the attached restaurant mostly out of convenience since I was staying at the hotel & was pleasantly surprised. This was my first time trying Käsespätzle and it was delicious. The apple strudel was also fresh, flakey, and yummy. It's probably not worth making a special trip to the restaurant if you aren't staying there, but it was great to have the option after a busy day!

The rate I was given for the first night (very reasonable, about 80 euro) was kept the same throughout our stay (we booked one night, ended up staying 3 nights). The breakfast alone is worth at least 10-15 euro per person. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hosts were friendly, offered many ideas for visiting, and spoke english very well.

It's located in the town of Schwangau and you can see the Neuschwanstein Castle from the balconies on many of the rooms. It's quite a picturesque view and a lovely area. The hotel has about 54 rooms and two restaurants a bar and wellness center. The staff are very nice here and the rooms are also nice. Breakfast is included and it was a nice assortment of choices that were well prepared. The bar is also very nice with a great list of cocktails and the bar tender here makes his own schnapps which are to die for :-) amazing hazelnut schnapps homemade. Our rooms were nice and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect including a nice bag for the use of the wellness center including towels and so on. If you forget your bathing suit they do have some you can borrow. All in all a lovely experience and I would come back here again.

Both are a short walking distance from the castles, but should you need to take a horse and carriage for the one mile ride up to Neuschwanstein, it is 5.5 Euro per person and it is a shared trip. Now onto the hotel: We arrived at the hotel at 11. There was no early check-in. We had to wait until 3. Not a big deal. I made the mistake of booking a double when there were two adults and one child in our group.I lucked out though as they had a triple available-a suite, #15 with a double in one room and a single in the living room. It had an extremely large balcony with a view of Hohenschwangau and of the town. It was so big you could fit a couple dozen people on it easily. Bathrooms-We had two. One had a tub and the other a shower. There was only shampoo that I am guessing was to serve as a multipurpose soap as there was no body wash or soap bar provided. The hair dryer was on a tight and short cord so you had to blow dry your hair extremely close to the wall. You also have to press down on the hairdryer for it to work (you don't just press an on button). The beds were comfortable and there were televisions in each room. The room came with bottle water. Not sure if they were free, but it was convenient. As for breakfast, they had cold meats & cheeses, hot eggs, sausage and bacon, bread, croissants, 3 or 4 different kinds of cereals and fruit. There was apple juice, orange juice, water and possibly one other juice. Try sitting in the sunnier room of the two as you have views of Neuschwanstein castle. Overall, it was a good stay. Also note they do speak English there if you do not speak any Deutsch

The rooms were well-maintained and everything from the bed to the bathroom was pristine. One aspect that really impressed me was the front desk staff. They arranged castle tour tickets for us. Just ask at check in and they will have them for you the next morning. As for transportation, getting to the castle was easy. Either walk, take the bus, or a horse and carriage ride. Just a heads-up, the horse and carriage only accepts cash. Unfortunately, the hotel's ATM was out of order during our stay, but there was one located close to the ticket booth. Also, I recommend making the short drive to Füssen. It's a charming spot with little shops, good food, and great views of the mountains. Pro tip: take a pretzel from breakfast and enjoy it with a view of the castle
