Since it was only receipts, we did not think much of it at the time. The next day, Saturday, 11/09/25, the jewelry and gifts we had purchased in Murano also went missing. These included a thank you gift for my sister (red Murano glass earrings), a bracelet and earrings for our daughter, and a Murano glass bottle opener. All of the items were kept together in their jewelry boxes in a plastic bag on the dresser in front of the mirror. Altogether, the value was about €80. We discovered the items were missing on Sunday while packing and doing laundry and immediately reported it to the front desk on 11/09/25. We were told that both the front desk manager and general manager were off that day. Staff said they spoke with the cleaner assigned to our room, who denied taking anything. Since there are no cameras inside rooms, there was unfortunately no way for us or the hotel to verify what happened. When we checked out on Monday, 11/10/25, we spoke with the front desk manager. He was polite, apologetic, and tried to help. He refunded us $10 for the laundry coins we had purchased, but that did not come close to the value of the missing items. He suggested that perhaps the items had been mixed in with the blankets and thrown away accidentally, but we explained that everything had been sitting on the dresser, not in the bedding, and the items were heavy and in boxes. After returning home, I waited about a month to see if management would follow up or offer any additional resolution, but I never heard back. I am not someone who normally leaves negative reviews, but this was very disheartening, especially because we traveled to Venice for our wedding anniversary and had an otherwise wonderful stay. Unfortunately, this situation left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a perfect trip.

Coffee and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were also waiting for us. The view is really, truly right on the canal. It's fantastic but surprisingly quiet at night, likely due to the excellent windows We took the water taxi to the San Marco Square then walked back and it was about a 30 minute walk with beautiful shops and restaurants almost the entire way. He asked what room number we were staying in. As far as the room. You can hear tables shifting above. They were doing work on the 400 floor and started around 8 or 9am. The blinds don't block out all of the sunlight. Needless to say. We never really got a chance to sleep in. On a positive note. The hotel is located within minutes from the high speed train station, bus stop and has plenty of shops nearby. On a non-hotel related note: Be careful on the number 2 bus to Venice. It's always crowded, and if a fat man tries to be helpful by telling you to scan your ticket, he's not. He wants to see where you keep your wallet. Then when the bus is moving, he fails to hang on to the straps, and flounders around to pick your pocket, getting off at the next stop. So beware and use caution.

ATVO bus takes you to and from Treviso airport. ATVO bus from airport to Venetia-Mestre cost 10€ per person one-way. Train station is "Venezia-Mestre" and takes you to "Venezia S. Lucia" station which is the actual sightseeing gondola riding Venice. The train cost 2.50€ for two adults one-way. HOTEL Staff was nice and friendly. Rooms are clean, modern, and big enough for two people. Not sure if I'd recommend it for a traveling family unless you're comfortable with getting tight and cozy with each other. Breakfast was 6€ a person and did not have to be reserved ahead of time. We opted not to eat breakfast here so I can't comment on that. WIFI is available at no additional cost and without time limit. It runs at a good speed and has only dropped a couple of times for about a minute then quickly returns. Reception/front desk is only available from 0700-2300 which is kind of lame for late arrivals from the airport. They do have an alternate way of checking in after hours, although I'm not too sure about the details. It's down the street from Pizzeria Columbus which is a very good place to eat at, but that's for a different review. Overall, hotel is great and I would recommend and/or return again. I gave this place four stars and not five because reception closes overnight which causes a hassle for late night travelers.

We came here for a few nights recently and got there right at the absolute BEST time, as the…read moreweather right before our stay was rainy and cold and on our date of departure, it was cloudy and cold.  This hotel is amazing to enjoy during nice, sunny weather!!  Sitting outside overlooking the Grand Canal while enjoying wine, bubbles, cocktails, or even morning breakfast was something we enjoyed multiple times per day!   Since we had never been to Venice we didn't know how to get from the train station to this hotel, but a quick call with the concierge staff helped immensely!  They literally directed us via phone to exactly where to go, which private boat taxi stand to go to.  Once our boat pulled up, they were all waiting outside on the dock for us!  They helped us off the boat, welcomed us to the St Regis, and immediately took our luggage from the boat.  (FYI - Be sure to budget for these private taxis, they're rather expen$ive!  This one from the train station was 88eu.  One from Burano to here is about 170eu, and one from here to the VCE airport is 160eu)   A staff member took us straight to check-in, where a nice young lady immediately checked us in, providing all the necessary information we needed and then a butler took us to our room.  We had a partial Grand Canal view room, which was a slight upgrade from the basic room.  The butler reviewed the entire property with us prior to taking us to the room, such as showing us their bar, restaurant, patio, quiet room, etc.  She then took us to our room which was very nicely furnished.  The bathroom was amazing, spacious, and had heated floors!  The shower was huge, with a seat and large bath sheets in the shower area hanging on towel warmers.  The bed was very comfy and the linens were perfect.   This property is located perfectly to see so much from it as well as be able to walk nearly anywhere on the island in about 20 minutes max.  Of course, they have their private large boat dock on the Grand Canal, where you can get a water taxi to take you anywhere you want also.  All the shopping you might want to do (Prada, Tiffany, Armani, etc) is a very quick few minutes walk away.   The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.  Their concierge service is 24x7 and they are a wealth of information.  They are busy, so fortunately there were always two at the counter, but plenty of others you could talk to if you had a question or a need.  The onsite restaurant and bar were excellent, and there are numerous other dining and drinking options within a short walking distance.   This was an amazing experience, one we'll definitely want to come back and enjoy again!

Everything I read said don't stay in Mestre because you're not in the heart of Venice and it doesn't feel like Venice since you're not water locked. After reading TripAdvisor reviews, I decided on Legrenzi Rooms and I ended up loving the hotel and Mestre! Location: -It's about a 3 minute walk to the Carducci bus station and about 5 minutes to walk to the Mestre Central tram station where it will take you about 20 minutes to get to Venice. -There is also a grocery store called Simply about a 3 minute walk away where you can pick up water before heading to Venice. -Right outside of the hotel, there are 3 casual bars/eateries if you don't feel like walking. -Piazza Ferretto is the main square and it's about a 5 minute walk away where you will find lots of cafes and restaurants. The square itself is charming, clean, and safe! Rooms: -There are only 9 rooms in this small, yet modern B&B. Unlike other European hotels, I didn't feel cramped and there was actually room to put your luggage and hang up your clothes. The bathroom was clean and the rain shower felt great after a long day of walking around Venice. -There is a mini fridge in the room, so I was able to buy some goodies at the store and keep it in the room. -Wifi is free and I didn't have problems with the speed. Since it's the summer, there isn't a comforter on the bed, but they do have one stowed away if you need it (you won't). The AC was also strong, which was a welcome relief after a day of walking around hot Venice. It was also quiet and our room looked out onto the cute courtyard. Service: -The employees here are nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend it to someone that doesn't need a fancy hotel with room service and want to save some money on their Italian getaway.

Big breakfast array included in room price. 7th floor room had sliding doors to a balcony - no great view, but still nice to have more space for a small room. NICE toiletries in bathroom. I got sick while I was there, and they let me take a pot of hot water up to my room with teabags, so I was able to keep making tea in the room with hot water from the lobby machine. Fridge - handy as there is a grocery store down the street (right out of the hotel, next right on main street that goes to downtown Mestre). CONS - AC set on very cold, and you can turn it down or off, but every time I came back to my room it had reset itself to very cold. Bed ok - a little hard. Elevators are slow. One seems more reliable than the other, but allow a few extra minutes. For bus to Treviso, desk person told me I had to go to the bus depot down the street. She was wrong. The stop for the Bari shuttle (10 euros) to Treviso is right outside a ticket office around the corner on the main street. There is a permanent bus stop sign that says Bari. No ATM in hotel. If you don't want to use the one at the train station, you must walk 15 min into Mestre. (That is, the reason not to use the ATM at the train station is that people are advised to be very careful at stations for pickpockets, etc.)
