When we decided we would be staying, it was very difficult finding a place to stay nearby that wasn't $200+ per night. We decided we would stay here at this motel in Stuart. The photos on the hotels.com website looked good for the price shown. The reviews were good too. I believe on their app, this motel received a 3.9/5? The rate on my hotels.com app was $75, $82 with tax. I used a promo code offered by hotels.com app and got the final total down to $75. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant had a promotion for the room and we ended up only paying $66 total! Great price. We got our room key, they wrote down what our wifi password was, and we were on our way to our room. I believe there was only ten rooms total. We were told we took the last room that was vacant that night. Lucky us! The room key was neat, you waved the key in front of the handle almost like one of those security keychains. The room smelled normal (another review said there was a smell?), the room was clean and ready for our stay. You could tell the rooms had been updated recently. The fixtures were of nice quality and the room was perfect for what we needed. A place to stay, no fussy-ness. The workers were kind, helpful, and kept the whole property very clean and well lit.. The lobby, sidewalks, parking lot, and rooms were all very well lit and very clean. I do recall that one light switch wasn't working in our room but it didn't bother us much since there were obviously other light fixtures in the room. I would definitely recommend a room to a friend and I would return for a stay, if the need arises.

Another review mentioned the very slippery floors surrounding the pool - they are right. The fireplace in our room didn't work, the windows were indeed gross, and the mirrors clearly hadn't been cleaned. Additionally we had inconsiderate and loud neighbors early in the morning, but that's not the hotels fault. They kept opening and slamming the door for some reason. Overall we had a fine time, the bed and king suite jacuzzi were nice, and we'd come here again if ever needed.

You get the idea. But clean and under 50 bucks. I will not stay there again however. The smell alone. Smoke and mold. I should've slept in my car. But it was after midnight and I needed a shower. The very very cheapest thin small old towels , pillows and toiletries. The carpet is disgusting. Look at this picture of the carpet near the bathroom. Now all my clothes even smell like smoke! And the price went up.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and properly supplied with towels and soaps. Room included fridge, hair dryer and a surprisingly large number of channels on the wide screen flat TV. Despite being conveniently near the Interstate and several fuel stations, the hotel was relatively quiet at night. Breakfast was adequate. Basically coffee/juice, "make your own" waffles, biscuits and gravy and cereal. This is one area they could have improved but recognizing this is a discount hotel. Although we did not take advantage of it, we noticed there is an indoor pool next to the office. Hotel does charge a $25 pet deposit at check-in, which is returned after staff checks the room the next morning. This is a bit of a hassle and one reason I am giving only four stars. There is an area to walk one's pet on the north side of the building. Summary: Convenient, clean, good value, acceptable breakfast, accommodating and pet-friendly.

I originally booked 2 queen beds. I get a call from the hotel the day we are supposed to arrive and they want to move us to a king bed instead. Saying "the shower in the 2 bed was broken" Frustrated but out of options I accepted. I also confirmed with staff on multiple occasions that because we're coming from out of state we will be there in the AM hours sometime after 2. They said it was no problem When we arrived at 3:30am they told us we were late. And started being extremely rude. He came out of his back room in his underwear to check us in. I was appalled. The first 2 keys they gave us didn't work. The 3rd also didn't and finally the 4th did. Our room stunk to high heavens. The pillow cases looked like they had been slept on. The walls and microwave were dirty. And it was just an awful experience from start to finish. Don't waste your time or money. For the prices we paid we should have been met with a friendly staff, a clean, nice smelling room. And the beds we originally booked. At this point I'm not even sure you can call this a hotel. Maybe a disgrace is a better word.

The house is from 1898 and she knew the history of this this huge house (over 6000 square feet, not including th coach house) as well as a lot of the local history. Barbara was helpful with directions and all other aspects of being a kind, helpful conscientious hostess. We enjoyed our 7 days here and plan to stay here every time we're back in Atlantic visiting family!

Each room has the comforts of your own TV with cable, but I felt more than welcome to be downstairs in the main room with the big-screen TV, a large fireplace, and lots of seating/recliner choices. Free wifi/internet is provided. For breakfast, Carol and Ron both chip-in and provide an excellent breakfast. There are 4 or more choices to choose from, and the night before - just place your order and time - and it'll be ready. I recommend Carol's special scrambled eggs (bacon, cheese, peppers, onions) - awesome! Because of the time of year, it didn't happened to have many other guests. The one downside - it has a shared bathroom. There are several bathrooms within the lodge, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The highlight of the time spent here was getting to know the very sweet people of Ron and Carol. They are warm, open, kind, and generous people who are in the right business of serving others and sharing their home.

I got a chicken pasta meal with veggies that was also a bit heavy, but definitely prepared well and delicious. The view is SPECTACULAR and definitely worth checking out.
