The owner, Sandy, was quick with communication when I had questions about what to expect. Her home is very large with several guest rooms, some with private restrooms. The common areas have large TVs with cable and several dvds to choose from. There's a pool table, a grand piano, and a pond with a doc and kayaks for guest use. Everything you'd want in a BnB with a lovely host that made us feel very welcome!

I…read morereally wanted to like this place, especially after reading people rave about their stay, but I couldn't get fully on board. The woman who runs it was just as friendly as everyone said. She was very welcoming, put us in a room she thought we would like, and made sure that our dogs had plenty of water and treats. I really appreciated this touch from a fellow pet-lover. No complaints about her. The room, however, wasn't the cleanest. There were flies (not necessarily anyone's fault, but annoying), and the bathroom had mold. I'm not super picky, especially in these small, mid-west towns, but I don't like finding mold... Her husband was not very friendly. When we turned the keys in the next morning, he came to the door in his pajamas and didn't ask if we wanted breakfast, which was supposed to be included with our stay. He just said thanks and closed the door again. Overall, fine for a 1-night stay.

The hospitality was unexplainable. GREAT people. They described it was new ownership and showed us how clean and nice it was and they were not wrong. Offered us food, coffee, and water. The rooms were so nice and kept up and amazing wi-fi and TV service. As we left in the morning they insisted we stay and sleep a little bit longer but we had to go as we went inside they showed us pictures of their children and grand children and me and my buddy got to play with their beagle. Very cute dog and friendly. HIGHLY recommend staying here. Will be doing so on the way back to michigan from Colorado! Loved this place.

We were on the second floor and had to carry all of our luggage up as there wasn't an elevator, but it was worth it when we got to our room. It was very cozy and pretty, with lots of little touches. The bathroom had a little note with information as to turn the shower on (very much appreciated since I tend to have a problem figuring some showers out). A little pink rubber hippo sat on the note to draw your attention to it. There was a box on a little table, as you came into the room, that contained complimentary individual serving boxes of dry cereal and some packets of microwavable oatmeal. There was also some granola bars and rice crispy treats. There was a little refrigerator (with juice and milk in it) in the room, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The coffee cups were real cups that were gold rimmed instead of foam. The little touches were nice. The gal that checked us in was very nice and the restaurant that was attached served some good food. Greenfield is fortunate to have this nice hotel, as there really didn't seem to be anything else in town. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was assorted breads to make toast with and juice, and coffee. I think there might have been some sweet rolls too. Nothing too special, but something to have before hitting the road.

Traveling here on business, this is a wonderful alternative to the several local hotels. With a motto of "Come here as a guest, and leave as family." -- it's more than true after my 3-day stay. Super comfy bed, and very quiet -- I slept just great! Lots of extra blankets and pillows if needed. Each room has the comforts of your own TV with cable, but I felt more than welcome to be downstairs in the main room with the big-screen TV, a large fireplace, and lots of seating/recliner choices. Free wifi/internet is provided. For breakfast, Carol and Ron both chip-in and provide an excellent breakfast. There are 4 or more choices to choose from, and the night before - just place your order and time - and it'll be ready. I recommend Carol's special scrambled eggs (bacon, cheese, peppers, onions) - awesome! Because of the time of year, it didn't happened to have many other guests. The one downside - it has a shared bathroom. There are several bathrooms within the lodge, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The highlight of the time spent here was getting to know the very sweet people of Ron and Carol. They are warm, open, kind, and generous people who are in the right business of serving others and sharing their home.

When we decided we would be staying, it was very difficult finding a place to stay nearby that wasn't $200+ per night. We decided we would stay here at this motel in Stuart. The photos on the hotels.com website looked good for the price shown. The reviews were good too. I believe on their app, this motel received a 3.9/5? The rate on my hotels.com app was $75, $82 with tax. I used a promo code offered by hotels.com app and got the final total down to $75. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant had a promotion for the room and we ended up only paying $66 total! Great price. We got our room key, they wrote down what our wifi password was, and we were on our way to our room. I believe there was only ten rooms total. We were told we took the last room that was vacant that night. Lucky us! The room key was neat, you waved the key in front of the handle almost like one of those security keychains. The room smelled normal (another review said there was a smell?), the room was clean and ready for our stay. You could tell the rooms had been updated recently. The fixtures were of nice quality and the room was perfect for what we needed. A place to stay, no fussy-ness. The workers were kind, helpful, and kept the whole property very clean and well lit.. The lobby, sidewalks, parking lot, and rooms were all very well lit and very clean. I do recall that one light switch wasn't working in our room but it didn't bother us much since there were obviously other light fixtures in the room. I would definitely recommend a room to a friend and I would return for a stay, if the need arises.

Another review mentioned the very slippery floors surrounding the pool - they are right. The fireplace in our room didn't work, the windows were indeed gross, and the mirrors clearly hadn't been cleaned. Additionally we had inconsiderate and loud neighbors early in the morning, but that's not the hotels fault. They kept opening and slamming the door for some reason. Overall we had a fine time, the bed and king suite jacuzzi were nice, and we'd come here again if ever needed.

Called and Roger was able to accommodate us for our anniversary dinner at the last minute. There was one other patron, a regular, who was super fun to talk and share some stories with. He stated that Roger had the best steak ever, but he was out of them for the evening so we intend to come back and give it a try another time. Our chicken Alfredo and baked salmon were fantastic. We honestly could not recommend a better experience and were so glad we chose to take a chance and not go to the steakhouse 20 miles down the road as recommended by our hostess. We were looking for a pet friendly hotel at the last minute while traveling through Iowa…read more I've stayed at several "America's Best Value" Inns before and this location is clearly the best to which I've been. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and properly supplied with towels and soaps. Room included fridge, hair dryer and a surprisingly large number of channels on the wide screen flat TV. Despite being conveniently near the Interstate and several fuel stations, the hotel was relatively quiet at night. Breakfast was adequate. Basically coffee/juice, "make your own" waffles, biscuits and gravy and cereal. This is one area they could have improved but recognizing this is a discount hotel. Although we did not take advantage of it, we noticed there is an indoor pool next to the office. Hotel does charge a $25 pet deposit at check-in, which is returned after staff checks the room the next morning. This is a bit of a hassle and one reason I am giving only four stars. There is an area to walk one's pet on the north side of the building. Summary: Convenient, clean, good value, acceptable breakfast, accommodating and pet-friendly.
