I stated I had my dogs with me so that she could add the correct charge. She then stated that the room they had reserved for me was not pet-friendly. I asked what my options were; she recommended the hotel next door and stated she would charge back my card since she had already run it. The charge back never occured and I had to spend double on a smoking room at the hotel next door. I called the hotel several times to get a solution and finally received a call back from the manager over a month later. He asked me how it was his fault, they had strict pet policies and had a room for me that I chose not to take. I stated that even if I had accidentally left out that I was bringing dogs, his clerk had said she would charge back my card, and that I wasn't allowed to stay there. I was frustrated but polite to the clerk, and to the manager when he finally called. He again asked how is that his fault, and then proceeded to call me several times to harass me even though I said we obviously weren't going to agree and there was no point in continuing the conversation. I have never had an issue like this before. I work in customer service and try very hard not to be THAT person.
