The Hotel Glance is along hotel row and is centrally located (easy walk to the train, the market, site seeing). We booked it as part of a tour, so we were also able to ask questions from a guide on the first floor.
The hotel is recently renovated (2016) and quite modern--so much so that it might take a minute to figure out how to turn on the lights. There were three of us sharing a room, and the second bed was no cot: it's a full size, comfy bed (couldn't tell if it was a roll out couch, but it's low to the floor). There are lovely touches like robes and slippers, complimentary seltzer and water, a heated towel rack, and bubble bath. The bathroom is impressive, with a smooth white acrylic sink, a bidet, and a full size bathtub. The main bedroom (separated by sliding doors) has a fridge, desk, and chair, and both rooms have flat screen TVs.
The breakfast buffet included is outstanding: eggs, bacon, roasted vegetables, prosciutto, parmaesan (from Parma, the good stuff), fresh honeycomb, fresh fruit, pastries, and more. I like the A.C.E. juice, orange and carrot, really fantastic.
The front desk staff are very friendly. There were a few service mishaps, but overall it was lovely. read more
