We went just did our first murder mystery night at Garza Hotel and LOVED it. The staff was awesome and the food was great. How is this little gem not known about? This should be a Lubbock Landmark Landmark event You dress and actually participate and figure out the mystery. Met a lot of great people and had fun and games also. Overnight stay is a beautifully restored hotel that has modern necessities inside We just put this is our must do list again !

Small town, hidden gem. When you walk in you are transported to early 1900's. Gorgeous decor, clean and inviting. The bedroom we stayed in was plush and true to the times with a brass bed and claw foot tub... we went for a murder mystery night... well run , food was plentiful and delicious, our host kept us entertained the whole night... the next morning breakfast was scrumptious and the game finished.. great times. We will definitely go back again!

I stayed here as part of a friend's 40th birthday party and we were all part of one of their murder mystery events. Too much fun! I fell in love with the buildings and the proprietors. I laughed til my sides hurt. And I solved the mystery! Room was clean and quaint. Breakfast was delicious. I will be goimg back for a regular overnight stay. Highly recommend.

The breakfast I was served every morning along with juice, milk, cereal, yogurt, coffee, etc.

I had a great experience at Hotel Garza. The couple that owns the establishment were very kind and accommodating to me. I arrived at almost midnight to check in and they were still willing to make me my breakfast earlier than they typically serve their guests. I can't imagine why someone would have had a bad experience here and I'll definitely be staying again.

Just stayed there again. Equally good experience as the last stay. The owners are really nice.

We wanted to stay in unique places and I feel so incredibly lucky that I saw this place!! The entire experience started off so nicely when Kim (one of the owners) called us the day we were arriving to ask about our arrival time so her or her husband Mark could be there to welcome us, and she also offered to make us an early continental breakfast since we were leaving before 8am the next day. It was so kind, but we declined because we were good to grab food on the road so we could get home. But that level of customer service and genuine kindness was a perfect example of our stay! Mark met us and gave us a tour of the BEAUTIFUL house, told us about the history, showed us historical photos they got from the granddaughter of the man who first built it. He offered us wine and coffee and the best banana bread I've ever had (seriously I need to email them for the recipe), and he even let us meet his puppy which made my daughter so happy! The house itself is incredible. Mark and Kim did an impossible task renovating it from abandoned nightmare to a breathtaking home that feels luxurious and so special. It really would be perfect for a small family celebration or wedding! Our favorite parts were the atrium in the center of the house that still had the 100+ year old birds of paradise plants that the original owner brought there from Guatemala, and the fact that their beautiful Christmas decorations were still up. We were extra lucky to be the only people staying there, so we really had the run of the house and got to hang out in their gorgeous living room to enjoy the Christmas decor and watch a movie together on our tablet. Everything was clean, the beds were so comfy, the amenities were awesome, the owners are SO SWEET, and Mulberry Manor is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. We've been home a few days and my daughter is still talking about it! If you get the chance, I cannot recommend it enough!

Mark and Kim are delightful hosts and the food is exquisite - delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The property is a very interesting historic home which has been refurbished with historic accuracy. Saved us from 20-30 min drive to be with family where we could be in the same town. Unfortunately we didnt get to eat there as we were on the go with family so not much relax time during the day. Very beautiful building inside and out. Definitely recommend anyone going through. No haunted feeling just an old beautiful historic building. Shower was AMAZING! The people running it was so freaking nice! They truly made us feel at home there! They had mini fridges and microwave in the hallway which helped on keeping water but the refrigeration part wasnt keeping anything cold which was a down side but okay because it was just water we kept in there.
