Quinta Don Jose Boutique Hotel has definitely become one of our favorites, and it's one we've chosen to stay at more than once. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the staff truly go out of their way to make every guest feel at home. It's that "home away from home" vibe that keeps bringing us back. The rooms are cozy, clean, and decorated in a charming, authentic style that reflects the culture and history of the region. While it's not a 5-star luxury resort, it offers comfort, character, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. The hotel itself is a beautifully converted old house, complete with an on-site restaurant and bar that serves delicious food and drinks. The complimentary continental breakfast is a highlight--fresh coffee, tea, and a traditional Mexican breakfast that hits the spot every time. One of the best parts is the location--just a short walk from Tlaquepaque Boulevard, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed afternoon or a lively evening in town. Quinta Don Jose will definitely remain on our go-to list. Since we travel back home often, we usually plan to stop in Guadalajara for a night of rest, and this boutique gem is the perfect place to do it.

Recently, I stayed three nights and found my Quinta Don Jose stay a wonderful place to be. My room was quiet, comfortable and nicely appointed with everything I needed. The refrigerator and water machine were especially nice. Of note, my room was across the street from the main building (I had to "buzz" in/out of the property which was fine.) Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and maybe a drink or two at the bar (Charlie was so welcoming and friendly!) One night, I ate at the restaurant and had an excellent meal served by my new friend Carlos (he was so nice and attentive!) While the pool water was a bit chilly, I used it 2/3 days and enjoyed the beautiful courtyard - it was a great way to relax from the hustle and bustle beyond the hotel property. Love Quinta Don Jose, would definitely return! 5 stars

I came here to stay because it was the first time my Mom comes to Mexico and I wanted her to have an amazing experience that feels authentically close to the Mexican culture and for our surprise it was the Mexican culture inside of a hotel. It's small but full of color, personality, and warmth. The people who work here are amazing people. They are sweet, friendly, accommodating, helpful. I can keep going. The rooms are cozy. I grabbed a package where the breakfast is included. Breakfast start at 7:30am and ends at 11:00am. Luis is an amazing gentlemen. Always helpful and friendly and willing to provide you more info on the breakfast you are interested in. PLEASE try "Cafe de olla" is made by Luis. He makes it so delicious! The American coffee is really good. The breakfast is full of flavor and love. "Nico" my friend Nico! I he is the most humbled person I have known. He is very helpful and willing to help if you need it. Even tho I have family here I will come back and stay because it was an amazing experience. If you come to Guadalajara, Jalisco. Please stay here! Is a small place but so worth it. You won't regret it at all. Nico and Luis! You guys rock!

The place looked beautiful, the Daytime staff was very nice, after 3 or 4 days most issues were resolved. The restaurant looked very nice but the food was very bland and had no flavor. We ate at other restaurants instead of eating their free meals since the were very good. The first 2 nights I didn't realized that all the bites on my body were actually bedbugs till I saw a tiny insect in bed. That's when it clicked and realized that the bites all over my body were not mosquito bites, that they were actually bedbugs. They only gave me a $30 refund which was ridiculous compared to all the money we spent to stay there. The place is beautiful the staff was very nice. But the management didn't want to accept responsibility. I didn't ask for a full refund, I did ask for a 50% which I felt was fair since I did stay there for almost a week. They denied my request. Don't stay there unless you like bed bugs and food with no flavor. I'm only including pictures of my legs, but these were all over my arms, torso and private area. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Located one block away from the downtown San Pedro area of Tlaquepaque its the perfect place for travelers looking for a great place to stay. The hotel itself is small with only 9 rooms available for guests. Several of the larger rooms (king size beds) are on the first level, with the rooms with queen sized beds are on the second floor. There is no elevator for the second floor and one must take a winding staircase to access the rooms and breakfast area. The room itself was very charming, well maintained, and very clean. Ceramic tile floors and solid cement brick walls keep it cool and sound proof. Because of the gorgeous Guadalajara weather, air conditioning is not required in the room, but there is a fan if you'd like some air circulation. All the doors and windows do open to allow maximum airflow. It was so nice to open them in the evening and allow the cool breeze in. One issue that should be addressed is some of the noise from the street below. While this could be an issue for those individuals who are hypersensitive to noise, it really isn't an issue. It actually was a nice little reminder that you're in a beautiful, modern city with traffic, people and full of life. Your room will include free breakfast every morning. At 8am, the staff sets up a wonderful juice and coffee bar on the second floor dining area. Its an open air dining area...the perfect place to enjoy your meal. The staff who prepares and serves breakfast can make you a custom made "American style" breakfast with eggs (your choice) bacon, sausage, cereal...anything else you can think of. Be sure to show the staff your appreciation and leave them an appropriate gratuity. The staff is wonderful, always ensuring the property is clean, well maintained and providing guests with whatever services, recommendations or assistance they need. Overall, this is a wonderful place for travelers of all levels. I would strongly recommend this location if you're looking for a romantic experience for couples, or looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful city. Enjoy!
