Drinks on the Fifth Floor!! Margarita and Maca - Ooooh Yeahhhhh..

Hotel Chaco is a great hotel if anyone is visiting. From the staff to the amenities, this is the place!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is a decent size and the gym is open and super clean. The fifth floor, the restaurant is amazing. The host, bartenders are awesome and sure can make their concoctions really tasty and delicious but ambiance is beautiful either to drink or eat or both during the day or night! Noah, Mary at the Front Desk and the Valet Team, all of you had made this experience for the stay very pleasant and fun with all y'all's interactions!! And Mary, thank you again for assisting me in finding my $1k towel ;D

Had a lovely visit to the spa at Chaco yesterday! A lovely massage in a beautiful and relaxing environment. There is a dry sauna, as well as a shower and changing rooms. I'll be back!

From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding. Arianna at the front desk truly went above and beyond -- she greeted us warmly and made us feel immediately welcomed. Even with the hotel being quite busy that weekend, she and the team graciously complimented us with an upgrade for our first night to help accommodate the high number of guests. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really set the tone for a special stay. The property itself is beautiful -- modern design, relaxing atmosphere, and incredible attention to detail throughout. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely eager to make our experience perfect. We can't recommend Hotel Chaco enough and are already looking forward to coming back

Lovely hotel, adjacent to the ever popular - Saw Mill. Upon entering the room; I knew we erred by not booking a balcony room. The window in our room was small, dirty and overlooked a parking lot, hotel and the dumpsters below - dismal = The room did not receive much light. We requested to upgrade twice but they were unable to accommodate us. We spent four days at Hotel Chaco. We were here to attend the Day of the Tread. We were surprised that there were no breakfast offerings (as early as we required) at the hotel before the events. We had to walk down the road to purchase food. *Consistent (early morning) coffee service in the lobby would have been appreciated as well. The room was nicely appointed, the amenities acceptable. We loved the comfortable robes and appreciated the slippers. The fitness center was one of the best we've used - it had everything you'd need, from yoga mats to Peloton machines. Housekeeping was exceptional! Victor and Edward were helpful and offered a wealth of information - thank you. We will be back next year, and hope to book a balcony overlooking the pool.

Lovely hotel, the room is so big and the bathroom beautiful! The huge balcony was great to see the sunset on. I love having luggage racks and they actually had 2! Walked to the Sawmill for dinner and a drink and then sat on the roof top bar.

Like WOW! Hotel Chaco is like walking into a museum. We Uber here so not sure about the parking situation. We stayed here a night as it was walking distance to Old Town Albuquerque and several cool wine bars in the area. The rooms are nice and everything feels modern and clean but this is the place to stay if you want something away from the main city, it's quite, modern and artistic. Walking into the hotel I was greeted by the statue remembering me of the scene from "Better Call Saul". The lobby has a gift shop, small museum a lobby bar and a quiet area with a nice working fireplace to sit, relax and reflect. Outside of the lobby there is a waterfall and chairs to sit, chat and reflect while enjoying the calming sound of water. We found plenty of places to eat nearby, used maps on our iPhone and suggestions from people working at the hotel.

Stayed at Hotel Chaco a few weekends ago while visiting the 'ol 505! Though I can appreciate a consistent hotel and the points that come along with it, I love and appreciate a local boutique hotel, which lent me to Hotel Chaco. Conveniently located across the street from a food hall, Sawmill Market, it's a pretty soli location near ABQ proper. We checked in around 7:30 or so on a Friday evening, we walked in and we're greeted at front door and walked into the cozy hotel. It felt warm, very southwest in all the right ways and was a very cool space. Check in was a breeze and the front desk was very friendly. Thought we found our room relatively easy, because the shape of the building and grand lobby, it's almost as if the floors are built with round abouts and veer right or left depending on your room. Lacked a bit a signage, but nothing huge once you get oriented! Side note, all floors required key cards to access, so very safe. We explored a bit of the hotel, an art museum on the bottom floor, few shops as well, a rooftop bar and restaurant, as well as a bar in the first floor. The pool and hot tub were located outside and they had a reasonably sized work out room. Overall, accommodations were nice. Our room was lovely, we had a balcony, thought it wasn't the most beautiful, all the natural light and windows were great. We called down for a steamer, which they had and was helpful for our weekend festivities! Bed was comfy, enjoyed the robes in the room We had the chance to enjoy drinks at the downstairs bar and rooftop. We're not super impressed with upstairs, but enjoyed the lobby bar. It was just a one off, I heard good things about booth. It was an enjoyable experience overall and we loved being able to walk across the street to the food hall then go back and relax in our comfy bed! Would definitely return again.

I will say that it is a cool venue in an old house with lots of little rooms, and that can make it more intimate or more disconnected depending on your outlook. The night I was there, there was an odd mix of young and old customers. I guess that's good. In the end, it's basically an expensive night club with a cash bar. For some folks, it's an alternative to cheaper dance clubs down on Central. More exclusive and hipper, but man, you are gonna pay for it through the nose. Ultimately, this is not my scene and this is not New York.

There was connecting rooms and multiple DJ's in each. They each had their own genre of music they were spinning. The place was decorated well, it was clean and the atmosphere was nice. No hovering men this evening. The line to get in on a Friday night wasn't deathly and women get in free. Parking was no problem as well, AND was free. I have to comment on the bathroom. I cannot speak for the men, but the womens restroom was clean and well kept. My only complaint is the drinks. I feel they are stingy with the brew. Maybe it's my tolerance, but I like a good vodka taste. I would definitely be back again. I think this place deserves to be seen and reviewed more often. Try it. Love it Yelp it...

Affordable and Comfortable Stay Near Old Town Albuquerque - With a Few Caveats…read more We stayed at Sandia Peak Inn - Old Town ABQ (a Howard Johnson by Wyndham), and I'll start by saying this: the price was definitely right. While it's not a luxury hotel, we more than got our money's worth, and I'll give an honest, balanced review. One of the main reasons we chose this property was the availability of EV charging. They offer both a J1772 and a Tesla destination charger, with a $10 nightly fee to use them. That was a great convenience and worked without issue. We booked the accessible oversized king room, which was very spacious, nicely decorated, and included a comfortable bed. We thought it had a sofa but found a day bed instead. The room also featured a small work table and a nice easy chair--well equipped for a short stay. The parking lot is tight, with narrow spaces and limited room, but our reserved EV charging spot helped avoid problems. Breakfast was modest but acceptable. There was a waffle maker, juice machine, coffee, peanut butter (the only visible protein), various breads, jams, and some overripe bananas. Vegetarian-friendly, but not very filling. One downside we experienced was related to smoking. Although our room was non-smoking, the moment I stepped outside in the morning, someone was smoking nearby. While I don't know how frequent this is, it would be preferable if the property were entirely smoke-free, especially near room entrances. The neighborhood felt like classic Old Town Albuquerque. I didn't feel unsafe, but I wouldn't recommend walking the area late at night. The exterior of the property has been nicely styled with Southwestern décor, which adds charm despite the budget-conscious operations. In short: everything wasn't perfect, but it all worked--and for the price, we walked away satisfied.
