This was truly an exceptional stay in Rome at a truly luxurious and grand hotel!…read more Check-in was easily completed on the app with a room upgrade confirmed as a Bonvoy Platinum member. Upon arrival an extremely friendly staff member completed the check-in and provided the room key cards. She also mentioned a unique Platinum benefit they offer - a $50 daily food and beverage credit. This really came in handy when we wanted some mini-bar items or afternoon cocktails at their restaurant Lumen. Late 4:00pm Platinum checkout was confirmed at check-in and was noted in the Bonvoy app as well. We had an Imperial King Room which had a lovely view of Rome and was quite spacious for a European hotel. The bathroom was well-equipped with bath and shower and luxurious Acqua di Parma toiletries. One minor issue - it was challenging to work the television as it was very slow to respond to remote control entries. It was also challenging to find English speaking programs. Additionally, there were no streaming services (e.g., Netflix) available and no way to connect the TV to a phone or iPad to stream programs. The bed was extremely comfortable with very soft sheets. The bathroom towels were thick and luxurious. Staff were extremely friendly and responsive - when we needed ice it was delivered expeditiously to the room. Platinum members receive complimentary breakfast daily for two which was a truly grand affair. A gigantic buffet of hot and cold items including various pastries and breads as well as a chef for eggs and omelettes to order. Mimosas are also included (ask your server)! This was a wonderful way to start the day, but I would've like a bit of variation as the items seemed identical day to day. The hotel location is quite convenient and is within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. It is also within easy walking distance of two different subway lines, and it's a quick ride to the colloseum. I highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Rome!

This hotel is amazing! The staff is the true key to a great experience from start to finish. The hotel is a beautiful structure and while a bit dated in some areas the overall appearance is very good and old world like I expected. Our room was very nice though there was no place to sit and read as the only chair was at a desk and another side chair that was not practical for reading. I would recommend they consider that. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I ever experienced in all my years of traveling with so many options you cannot possibly try them all. The omelette chef was so accommodating and friendly. We had lunch there the day we arrived, breakfast each day and even decided to dine there for dinner one night instead of going out. All the servers went above and beyond for us and made us feel so welcome. They have live music that is very classy and works great for the environment of the hotel. We saw several different duos for evening and breakfast services. We spent three nights in this hotel before we boarded our cruise ship and really enjoyed every minute there. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Rome.

My wife and I stayed at the RC 7-8 years ago, and had such a great experience that we rejected the La Dolce Vita associated hotel La Minerva in favor of returning this summer for our holiday that started in Rome. Some notable personnel - Nicola - front desk - provided great assistance with our needs for cash exchanges, adapter use and a very surprising tour of our upgrade to the Penthouse. Serena - Imperial Club - friendly, and energetic. Attended and anticipated our needs, such as private car service due to taxi strike. Annamarie- front desk - attentive, friendly and walked us to the outdoor restaurant one evening. Matteo - coordinated receipt of an important package for my wife. Many others contributed to this brief, but memorable stay. Congratulations on assembling a great team! We hope to return again in the future.

Extremely disappointing customer service this visit…read more Via the concierge, I had reserved an airport transfer in a Mercedes sedan for 120 Euros. The company sent a 10-passenger van instead of a sedan. A taxi would have been more comfortable, a shorter walk from the terminal, and half the price. When I complained to the hotel, they said the van was the same price as a Mercedes sedan so I would be charged the same. This seemed like a bait and switch to me. Had I known the vehicle would be a van, I would have taken a taxi.

The history behind the little town is fascinating and the story behind the villa is even more captivating. Despite war and neglect, this villa has retained it's beauty with stunning frescoes and breathtaking views of Rome. Daily breakfast was included with our package and offered an array of fruits, nuts, pastries, eggs, bacon, and more. We had a couple of hiccups which included a non-functional power outlet as well as a burnt out light bulb. Although we reported the problems to the front desk and requested them to be fixed, they were not done during our 3 night stay. Be sure to make time to walk around the property, enjoy their pool, and visit the 2nd floor to see the beautiful frescoes. You won't be disappointed.

The daily breakfast included in our package was delightful, offering fresh tomatoes, cheese, sliced salami, juices, variety of breeds, croissants, jellies, yogurts, eggs, bacon, Cappachino, coffee and tea. There was also fresh and dried fruit as well as cereals. My husbands favorite was the bathroom which included a bidet and standing shower. Plenty of parking was available. The only downfall was wifi was spotty throughout the hotel despite us asking for repair. This location is 40 minute drive to rome center, 30 minute train ride to metro termini in rome. They offer free shuttle to the frascati train station as well. We found it easier to drive to san giovani metro station and park off the road. Service was wonderful, except cleaning lady ignored our do not disturb sign.
