I stayed here for 3 nights in April. Even though it was just me and my husband, we paid a little bit more to get a triple room just for the extra space and it was completely worth it, especially given how small most Italian hotel rooms are.
Pros:
1. It's centrally located. Mercato Centrale is only a 5 minute walk away. We went there everyday. Most of the other major tourist attractions are pretty much a 20 minute walk or less. I can't speak for the metro because we never had to take it. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, but just be sure to do your research because there are also lots of tourist traps because it's so centrally located
2. Check-in is not until 2 pm but they let us check in a bit early at around 12:30 PM
3. Mini fridge available. It's filled with drinks but you can ask them to remove the drinks so that you have space for your stuff, and they don't end up charging you
4. Breakfast is included but it is slim pickins'. They have a few bread/pastry items, ham, and cheese - but at least there's a coffee/cappuccino machine
5. Bathrooms and room floors have been renovated
Cons:
1. No elevator (which seems to be the norm in Italy)
2. Limited bathroom sink space, but this wasn't an issue for us since we booked a triple room
3. Can be noisy. There was no street noise from our room but it was located directly across from another room, so we could hear people talking through our window sometimes
Overall, it was a great stay for a pretty good price ($200 ish per night), especially compared to most other hotels in this area. read more
