The service was great. Front desk was fast and efficient. We booked with Expedia so we paid before arrival. They gave us a key (it is very bulky and a bit of a pain to carry around) and a gentleman helped us with our bags up to our room. We were on the 4th floor and had a wonderful view of the Duomo. The room was clean and had a blow dryer. The amount of outlets were limited (one in the bathroom and on under the TV) we unplugged the phone in order to use that outlet for out power converter. They do have USB plugs right next to the bed. Bathroom was small but it was clean and served its purpose. The bed was not great. It is two twin mattresses pushed together and not very comfortable (okay for me but my significant other was NOT a fan.) there was no fitted sheet it was just a top sheet wrapped around the two mattresses, we found odd. There were blankets in the closet we used (we do not like to use the top comforter when we stay in hotels.) there were slippers provided which was a nice touch. To lock the door at night you have to use the key to lock the deadbolt (pain in the butt.) To lock and open you room door is also a bit of a pain. Breakfast is served on the 1st floor and it was great. They do offer cappuccinos but you have to ask, they have regular coffee available right away. The location was great. Walk right out and to the left is the Ponte Vecchio, to the right the Duomo and right and then left is the Piazza De La Republica. Great restaurants around and gelato places everywhere. The WiFi was touchy, not very reliable. On the weekends people stay out late and you can hear them in the street and may find it hard to sleep.
Pros: location, cleanliness, view, service, breakfast, slippers, mini fridge, hair dryer.
Cons: WiFi, mattress comfort, mattress linens, number of outlets, bulky room key. read more
