This is a true 5 star hotel. I can't express enough how pleased I was with our stay. When we were…read morepulling up to the gate, I could tell this was going to be an amazing hotel. This secluded hotel is located right on a cliff overlooking the sea. The rooms are spread out among two buildings. The beach house which sits right in front of the water and another building which is more towards the pool. There is a heated pool, a non heated pool, jacuzzis, sauna, Turkish bath and plenty of lounge chairs in many locations among the property. Also, there are stairs leading down to the sea if you'd like to go for a dip in the Mediterranean! The whole property is very tranquil and relaxing. Just walking around the hotel grounds I found enjoyable, specially with the breathtaking views of the sea. From the moment we checked in the staff here was exceptional. Time to time they would check in and make sure everything was ok with our stay. The breakfast that's included is one of the best breakfast I've had at any hotel. You have to option to order hot dishes cooked to your preference. Omelettes, eggs Benedict, poached, scrambled, crepes etc. There is also a buffet style assortment of fresh fruits, meats, bread and more on the inside. Seating is outside where a server tends to you. Taking your orders for coffee and anything you'd like off the hot menu. I chose to get an hour massage during my stay and it did not disappoint. The therapist, who I wish I could name, did a tremendous job. She really was a professional in her trade. Prices are a little high but it's at a 5 star hotel what can you expect? I found it to be worth it because it made my stay even more relaxing. Now on to the rooms. We stayed in a double deluxe in the beach house. The interior is very nice and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable too. I'll include some attached pics later. I feel like the pictures on the hotels website don't do the rooms justice. Our room was facing the sea. View was incredible. The sound of the waves so soothing we chose to leave the windows down throughout a majority of our stay. Overall, I highly suggest a stay at this hotel whether it's for one night or a whole week. Thank you so much to the whole staff. I'll definitely be back someday

Small complaint is an exercise room in need of updating. But that is small compared to how lovely the place and people are.

I went here for a few days with some friends on a trip to Spain and had an amazing adventure. The grounds are beautiful with so much to see that you truly do not need to leave the property. We came here after a weekend of partying in Ibiza for some much needed R&R. The dining experiences are absolutely 5 stars. The thai food that we ate was incredible and their Spanish style tapas restaurant is amazing. The rooms have gigantic bathrooms and balconies for days. I'm giving it four stars, but only because of it's location. If you want to see more of Palma and get a cultural experience, I would not stay here as it is quite far away from the center of Mallorca. If you want some relaxation and more of a resort feel, I recommend staying here.

The internet is free. It is a good hotel but at times the room service is lacking and not crazy about the bathroom which is a combined tub and shower which can be a bit messy. The view from the balconies is fantastic. Great place for a non-beach vacation with high-end expectations

Some certainly made the hotel a great improvement on a day when it was served great Spanish food. But overall, the food was a huge disappointment. Furthermore, if you prefer a hotel where the hotel staff do not detest their customers - avoid this hotel. Bartenders who can not smile, reception who think that the guests causes problems, charges for everything (Iron 10 euro - and if you need a board, please pay an additional 3 euro - that's laughable) We lived in three room, two beds made up, the third bed we embed ourselves. The room was not cleaned every day, only two sets of towels and glasses were handed out (glass not changed during the week., I can go on forever with weirdness mojito from a tap tasting chemicals and so on. There is no doubt that those who govern over the hotel staff have lost all interest in the hotel business a long time ago.

The hotel is around a mile from a decent club, 15 min walk from the beach. 2 minutes walk to the hotel restaurant. The animation team are FANTASTIC.. they are very energetic and the pool games and entertainment was great! The room we stayed in had just been refurbished, so the room was very nice! Food is offered all day everyday from main meals to general snacks. The food is also very good. Remember this is a 3 star hotel so if you want 5 star food don't go all inclusive! A side note; the only thing I could be negative about is the fact there is no aircon in the rooms, but if you keep all the doors open it's not too bad! P.s girls, if you want your hair braided, go to Umi. She's great a does a good job!! Overall very impressed with this hotel!

The beautiful, kid-friendly beach with super-soft sand is just across the street. It's a public beach and it gets busy, but you can rent chairs, umbrellas, and a lockbox (a little over €18 a day for the full package, but you can scale down). Or, you can find your own space for free if you have or don't need an umbrella, etc. it turns out that Mallorca is a huge vacation spot for Germans. As Americans, we loved meeting people from Germany and other countries. It was so nice to barely hear English at the pool lol. And, speaking of the pool, it was really lovely. There was a shallow section for kids and then a regular section for everyone else. The buffet dinner was perfectly adequate and the free breakfast in the morning was a really nice perk. We had some special dietary requirements and we knew we would be cooking a lot, so we wrote ahead and asked for a fully equipped kitchen. The fridge is relatively small and it's a tiny little sink, but we had everything we needed. We purchased dish soap and a couple of extra kitchen towels. We eventually learned how to use the single burner induction stove-top. Overall, we were really pleased. it was a wonderful and relaxing place to be.

Viva Sunrise treated us pretty well indeed. From arrival to departure we enjoyed our holiday…read moreimmensely and it was in no small part due to Sunrise. We arrived about 2am, this meant we were tired from being up all the previous day, flying and then the bus journey from Palma. Check in was a breeze and we were warmly welcomed by Jaume. Now I'm terrible with remembering names, but I remembered Jaume! This is because being so tired as I mentioned and trying to get the kids and co sorted getting off the shuttle bus, I got the rest of the family's luggage sorted and left my own bag in the overhead compartment (containing my SLR camera, camcorder, return boarding pass, car key, watch, iPod, kindle, sunglasses and travel money card). I only realised about 10 minutes after the bus left. So from about 2:30AM until around 4PM the next day when the bag was safely returned, Jaume was on the case, he was phoning round to Transunion (bus company) as soon as I told him what happened and liaised with them right up to sorting the taxi at the end for the bag pick up complete with a few courtesy calls to the room to update me on progress, all I had to do was sit by the pool and contain my background anxiety with ice-cold beer. So he was a complete star and really stepped up when I needed assistance to keep our holiday on track!! At which point I celebrated with more ice cold beer and was pretty jolly by this point! After that (when full holiday mode kicked in) we had a great time. We chose self-catering but did eat a few times in the hotel and the food and drink available was of a pretty high standard, if we returned we would probably consider at least half-board if not all inclusive. We looked into upgrading to this option about half way through but decided against it in the end. We found though that with Sunrise being well located there were any number of great places to eat out within 10 minutes' walk, and that's 10 minutes with a child and a baby in a pram. Viva is also handy to the beach, (something we did not avail of enough), which is one of the outstanding features of Alcudia. The facilities at the hotel were great though. The pool was fantastic, with just enough shade in parts to mean that kids can play in the water without always being directly exposed to the sun. The kids pool is very well set out too with a brilliant pirate ship, slides water features and a play park along side. There is also a decent space around the kids pool for adults so you can lie back and keep an eye on the kids playing without having to hover right over them. The children's entertainment was good also with activities on throughout the day and evening. As you walk out from the lobby to the pool area there is a large notice board which will give you each days activities for adults and children alike. So Sunrise made for a great holiday, good location, great facilities and food and amazing staff. Would definitely recommend Sunrise and would be very happy to revisit again in the future!
