So I initially booked this place because of the convenience of the location and the price for a small room and a private balcony all for myself. But then plan changed and I had to let them know that I will have an additional guest in my room. Given that they are fully booked, they were able to fit in another bed just for making sure I stay with them. It was easy to get to this spot and it's walking distance from all major Florence hot spots.
It's your standard mom-and-pop family owned hotel with big ol' heavy metal connected to the old fashioned key and that you turn in at the front desk whenever you leave the property so you won't lose it. One of the best part about this place is the patio outside and the balcony for you to enjoy the view when it's not too cold outside in the end of February. The other best part of the hotel is the breakfast. They make the food in-house, they serve you good coffee, great service, and the fresh squeeze orange juice machine.
Hotel Bodoni is definitely worth the money for tourists who wants to try authentic European style hotels and their staff definitely speaks English. One of the only challenge is that because it's in an old building, the elevator is small and very old, it was a challenge to fit 2 adults and 2 big luggage in there at the same time. They clean the room very nicely and it came with a fridge. I would recommend people to stay here for sure. read more
