Had a lovely one night stay at the Hotel Bisanzio August 23-24, 2022, as we visited the Venezia Bienalle. I loved this hotel. Our room was in the annex - down a small calle but very close to the hotel - and was extraordinarily large for a hotel room in a closely packed European city. Air conditioning worked great (it was August and HOT), room was super quiet, and the room was utterly and completely charming, with Murano lamps and mirrors, vaulted ceiling, etc. Bathroom was also a good size. Everything impeccably clean.
Front desk staff was tremendously helpful with two almost-disasters: one, someone (we won't say who) forgot their phone charger and desperately needed a charge so that train tickets could be viewed on the Trenitalia app, and the hotel receptionist loaned me his personal charger; and two, due to an unfortunate choice of vaporetto on the way back from Murano, we had to run through the maze that is Venezia to retrieve our bags and then ... somehow... make it back to the station on time. The front desk team told us exactly which express vaporetto to get, what stop to get it at, and when it would arrive. Grazie mille - we made our boat, and then our train.
The included breakfast was huge, with many options, much larger than a typical Italian hotel breakfast. read more
