Hotel Bellevue is sort of a budget-type place. The price is right and the accomodations are so-so. The night I was there, a group of students were occupying the hallliterally. Nobody from the hotel staff made any effort to quiet these kids who were literally running the hallways and playing football. It is a creaky old place, so it's not like the staff couldn't hear them. Also, as I was drifting off to sleep amidst the noise, I heard the kids discovering something quite disturbingall the keys work on all the doors!!! What?! So they were running room to room knocking and then opening the doors to every room on the hallway. Now, granted I could have misheard this. But I also recall reading another review somewhere that pointed this out. Anyways, it's Switzerland so I figure even the poorest thief wouldnt be interested in my meager possessions. So I hid my Victorian doily collection under the bed and went about my business.
The communal bathrooms could be better. The showers are private but there is a window to the outside there with no curtains and the room is small enough to force you to stand in front of the window naked while getting into the shower. *This could be considered a bonus for some people.
Breakfast was nicely done, although I did have to wait for the teenagers to finish before going in there as I didn't want to be around the noise.
Internet is EXPENSIVE not just here, but in the whole town. It is a cruel joke and don't think you'll get your ICQ client working on those weird kiosks, either.
The view from my room was amazing. So all in all, if you are keeping it tight moneywise this might be your place. Despite my complaints above, I personally didn't find it that bad. But others might, so I gotta be thorough. Oh speaking of which, there was no electricity in my room when I woke up on the last morning. read more
