This modern contemporary hotel was close to the Barcelona airport although not walking distance but…read moreconveniently had a complimentary shuttle to the airport as long as you schedule at least a day beforehand. Their elevators were abnormally small but at least for one couple it was fine with luggage. I think we checked in a bit early & yay our room was ready. Walls were a bit thin but we still managed to get a decent night's rest. We were able to order happy hour like food like wings, chicken nuggets, fries & salads downstairs at the bar area to eat in our hotel room. Thank goodness. We were too tired to go out. Food was delicious too & ready quite quickly! Our room included complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning. Eggs, bacon, cheese, croissants & fruit were served as well as yogurt. We were satisfied! Yay. We would return for the convenience of being close to the Barcelona airport if needed.

**December 2022/ January 2023: Weekday/Weekend Stay**…read more After extensive research I picked this hotel for my stay in Barcelona. Here are my thoughts. Pros -The hotel is one street over from the metro entrance, which is super convenient to travel around -Concierge speak English, Spanish, and French -The room itself is clean, modern, and well maintained. The bed is soft (but not too soft) and it was very quiet. -The shower is definitely the best part. The waterfall shower head was nice and had plenty of hot water. The stall also comes with a big jar of an all in one shampoo/body wash which I liked using. -Wifi is pretty fast -Room rate was very reasonable for two and included breakfast daily. During my visit a night was $122 (taxes roughly €50 for 8 nights) for a queen bed. -The complimentary breakfast is fantastic. On my visit they had a huge assortment of fresh loaves of bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cut meats, fruit. yogurt and various toppings. As for drinks they had orange juice, apple juice, and various hot beverages. It's a pretty nice spread and is served from 7am-1030am. Cons -You need to use your room key to keep the light on -The area does have a lot of graffiti in the surrounding buildings -Pillow is a tad too firm for my taste -The shower stall does leak -There's no AC in the wintertime, only a heater so I was pretty warm during my stay. -Sometimes the room would smells like smoke. I'm unsure if it's because someone is smoking next door, outside or it's through the vents so that was unfortunate I noticed many families in the hotel lobby, which reinforces my assumption that this is a great option for budget conscious travelers who are looking for a good value. Overall, I think this is a fantastic short and long term stay option for Barcelona. It's close enough to get to all the hot spots but far enough away that you can enjoy a nice peaceful night of sleep. I definitely recommend all travelers to stay here

A nice hotel away from the touristy side of the city but close with metro access close by. The…read morerooms are decent size for two adults. Both the bed and pillows are comfortable and the bathroom clean and also decent size. My biggest issue is how hot the room is. We turned on the "AC" and all it did was recirculate the air. You can open the window but there's a safety line not allowing you to open it fully. Called the reception to see if there's anything they could do about it and the answer is no. Since it's March they don't turn on the Cold option for the AC. And the safety line on the window they can't remove for safety reasons. I know the purpose for it but it's stupid not to allow the window to be opened fully to let cool air in. I'm from Florida and I know what hot feels like and our room was hot! It made it uncomfortable to sleep in. The fact that I sweat while sitting in the room after a day of walking around the city is unacceptable! The breakfast they serve in the morning is typical continental buffet. You have options of scrambled eggs (bit too runny for me), sausages/small hotdogs, cold cuts, cheese, cereal and some breads. Coffee, water, and orange juice is also offered.

We had been looking for something closer to the beach, but still a close distance to the heart of Barcelona, surrounded by restaurants, and of course, budget friendly. Euro Hotel Barcelona Port checked every box for us! The location is perfect, directly across from Mar Bella Beach (which is a beautiful sandy beach with a few cafes along the water), and is situated in the PobleNou district of Barcelona. This area is known for its extensive cafes and tapas bars. Restaurants, pharmacies, groceries, and shopping are all within a short walk. Directly outside of the hotel is a taxi line and a bus stop. The outside of the hotel doesn't look like much, but upon entry you are greeted by a beautiful lobby. Plenty of seating, the breakfast buffet, a bar, complimentary waters, and an adult size zen garden. Right off the lobby is a large outdoor patio with comfy seats and umbrellas. The people working the desk were extremely friendly. They helped our family find rooms as close together as they could. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable beds. There is a large built-in, perfect for storing your suitcases. The bathroom was nice and bright with a big shower and great water pressure. There is also a mini fridge, a safe, and free wifi. The rooftop terrace is the highlight of the hotel! The pool with the view steals the show. It overlooks all of Barcelona and when you turn around you get stunning views of the beach. There is tons of seating, a bar, toilets, and towels available. The drinks were strong but a little pricey (compared to restaurants in the area). We only ran into one rude bartender (who then gave us our drinks in smaller glasses and were definitely not as strong). But for that to be our only complaint about this hotel, we would definitely stay here again if ever in the area!

You will have to take a 5 min taxi ride there. This was a great experience!!

From the moment we walked into the door until checkout, we found the staff to be wonderfully professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. The rooms were roomy by European standards, and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was a walk-in style, which is much better than the tub shower combos that are offered in many places the hotel also offers an ample breakfast for a fee which we took advantage of a few days during our stay. It offered the perfect start to long days of exploring Barcelona. Should we come back to the area? We will definitely stay here as it is centrally located with many wonderful places in the neighborhood to dine at.

The hotel was near some nice shops and restaurants and only a couple of blocks from Avinguda Diagonal. I was able to walk everywhere.

Originally we were in standard double (asked to see before agreeing as 1st stay, when just me, I was in a very tiny single); though were patiently shown double options along with newly updated/upgraded double (which we took & paid extra for)! Room, while simple, was tasteful, comfortable, and by US standards, spacious. Bed comfy, bathroom well-appointed and overall great experience! General Pros: Safe, clean & comfortable hotel in area with same attributes! Staff helpful & always cheerful. Breakfast, while after 8 mornings (we leave tomorrow) a bit monotonous, was always plentiful and good..."shamelessly" we ate a lot & often didn't need lunch! Metro and placas/plazas in easy distance; along with restaurants, shops & groceries. General Cons: Toiletries were shampoo/bar soap only. Bed didn't have blanket or bedspread/cover (to be fair, we didn't ask for either). No mini fridge in room, though very accommodating in storing/retrieving our medical items needing temp control. All in all, highly recommend for short (or even longish) stay in Barcelona!

My hotel requirements are simple : safe, clean, private bathroom, near public transportation and free or cheap wi-fi. Hotel Via Augusta is a near perfect hotel. A few blocks walk to the metro, free wifi, clean room with excellent water pressure and very quiet. At times the quiet was eerie, it took some adjusting to, but most travelers seem to crave quiet. I was surprised that : 1. a continental breakfast was included in the price 2. the continental breakfast was pretty decent. I won't eat eggs that have been sitting around for a while, but the fruit was fresh, the coffee and pastries were good and there were cold cuts if you wanted them for breakfast. FYI - they do have a checklist and you can't take items back to your room. The staff was mostly excellent and all I met were fluent in English. There was one guy , usually normally worked evening shift (in Sept 2010), who was quite unfriendly. He refused to make eye contact, wouldn't return greetings and looked pained to be there. In such a well run hotel he was the only blemish. The elevators are kind of slow, but it seems like there always slow in hotels. For about 60 euros a night it exceeded my expectations. Stay Here !!

The breakfast buffet was great, featuring iberico ham slices, pasties, yogurt bar, freshly squeezes juices, etc with a made to order menu as well. Their fried eggs were outstanding! The room was small but comfortable for 4 of us. The pull out bed was surprisingly comfy. The room featured a mini fridge in addition to usual amenities.
