Great hotel in a very convenient location in the center of Palermo. We arrived early and they had our room ready which was also nice.
My room was on the front of the hotel so there is some street noise but if you find that bothersome, ask for a room on the back side. It didn't bother me at all even with the window open. Or close the window and turn on the air conditioning and you shouldn't hear it.
The room had all the basics, comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom, good water pressure, and even a pot to boil water in for tea. If there was a downside it was that there was no coffee in the room but I went to the grocery store a block away and picked up some instant coffee for that morning need.
Oh, be sure to plan ahead with the elevator. It is lovely and old, but only holds 3 people so at times there was a wait to get to where I wanted to be. There are stairs if you are so inclined.
The real gem of this hotel is the rooftop restaurant and bar. Take the elevator up to the top floor and climb the stairs to the roof. There you will have one of the best views of the city. And if you climb up to the next level, you'll find yourself overlooking the city to the harbor.
Breakfast in this restaurant is included in the cost of your room. If you choose to have drinks up there later in your day, the only food they serve is a sampler of various appetizers, that while good, don't invite you to come back another night. I wish they had served some cheese and meats to enjoy with wine as another option
All in all a great hotel choice in Palermo! read more
