Ornate. Grand. Opulent. All in an old-fashioned vibe. This hotel was obviously the height of luxury in the mid-20th century. Now, it needs some love to return it to it's glory, but even still, it's a pleasant place to stay. Rooms are a decent size. The bed is comfortable. The area is relatively quiet at night so sleeping with the balcony doors open for fresh air is possible.
The bathroom is large with a good shower.
The breakfast on the 4th floor is in a space surrounded by windows providing sunny views on a beautiful morning. Typical breakfast options. Eggs, pastries, fruits, cereals, cheeses, smoked salmon, charcuterie, olives, capers, yogurt, pancakes, bacon, grilled vegetables that all looked steamed, American coffee and made-to-order espresso drinks. Service is friendly & attentive. read more
