We stayed at the Albani Firenze hotel for 15 consecutive nights! The proximity of the hotel to the train station, and bus lines, made it easy for us to go on day excursions into the Tuscan and Chianti regions. Our hotel room was very comfortable; the sheets, towels, coffee packets, and toiletries were refreshed daily. Air conditioning kept our room nice and cool when the temperature outside reached 90+F! Our room was on the 4th floor facing the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet. Plus, the room came with a balcony and chairs to sit outside whenever we wished. Our room reservation came with a daily buffet breakfast that included sumptuous cold cuts, salads, hot beans, sausage, Frittatas, fruits, cereals, juices, jams, croissants, cakes, pancakes, flan, Rusk and toasted breads. Breakfast also came with fresh drip coffee and excellent Cappuccino! Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our one suggestion is about the Tour Groups. The hotel hosts large tour groups. Sometimes a tour group of 30 or more people line up the hallway leading to the breakfast room and force independent guests, like us, to go to the end of the line, as they continue to add more of their own tour comrades to the front of the line. We do understand that tour groups have a tight schedule, yet a group 30+ people jumping ahead of other guests in the breakfast serving line, all at the same time, is frustrating. Perhaps the Albani Firenze hotel would set aside a separate breakfast room for tours composed of 15 or more people? Or, perhaps the Albani Firenze hotel can offer the current breakfast room to large tours at 6:30am (half an hour before the independent guests)? This way, independent guests would arrive after the large tour groups have already been seated and fed. read more
